What are some good holiday gifts for my husband and brothers? Darn season is approaching and I want to be done early this year! I was thinking something for homebrewing or brewery stuff? Gift Cards, etc. What would you guys be interested in getting? Just need a little direction. Cheers!

First and foremost; Women like you are the best. The gift of craft beer is the best kinds of gift.
Secondly and more on topic I guess; I'm hoping my lady gets me a nice little home brew kit to futz with but I'd honestly be happy with those beer gift boxes like the St. Bernarndus sets with the glassware and bottles etc. Although depending on where you live, Gift cards to the breweries around are always amazing.

How big are you looking to go? Gift packs with glassware are great -- Duvel and Chimay are good choices that are easy to find nationally, and many craft brewers put out holiday gift sets. A beer subscription like Rare Beer Club would be fun. If you your guys like sours, maybe a box from etregourmet or belgiuminabox. There are also several other reputable online retailers stateside where you can buy good beers that are not available locally.

Or: if you want something over the top, maybe plane tickets and a hotel booking to Tampa for Hunaphu's Day at Cigar City or to Chicago for Dark Lord Day in late April.

Thanks so far, i can't go too big this year. I checked The Rare Beer Club, big maybe, that uncrate.com site has some cool stuff too. (they even have a car seat for the growlers! Priceless. I found a beer of the month club online but they seemed too pricey.(Like $35-$40 for a twelve pack! at http://www.craftbeerclub.com) I also found online a place that has a brewery t-shirt club. It's like a beer of the month club but with shirts. Anybody hear of the craft brew shirt club?(They're at http://hoppyshirts.com) All in all you've started me off in the right direction. Damn holidays will be here before i know it.
    Thanks for your help....

Sam Adams Utopias 10th Anniversary is a very appropriate beer gift right now.

Totally unrelated question, but I'm wondering if the OP has a sister!

I'm doing a lot of glassware this year, mostly because I am tired of bringing nice beers to my friends' houses and not having anything appropriate to drink from.

If you can find them how about a bottle each of Westvleteren 8 & 12 and a bottle each of Rochefort 6, 8 and 10? For an added touch throw in the Wesvleteren Blonde. Those are all treasured, world-class beers.

Is there anyway I can be your brother??? In all seriousness, a lot of great breweries do combo packs with 4 of their beers and a glass. Boulevard, Samuel Smith and Duvel are the ones that really come to mind. They all seem like a great deal and are delicious. Cheers!

Still looking into stuff, got my eyes on a couple gift packs, the shirt club, or the beer club. Do they pack the beer/glassware safely when they ship it from the breweries? Any horror stories? Thanks again for your help...

    Do they already homebrew?

Hubby used to homebrew before daughter was born. Brothers don't but they like to drink it!

Does he still have the equipment? If so, get a new kit for them to brew together.... so he can make it and they can drink it for "family time".

I've ordered or received glassware from Russian River, Dogfish Head, New Belgium (their holiday gift pack is available now, cheap & proceeds go to charity), and Sixpoint and they all came undamaged.

I got the Flying Noodle quarterly beer club last year as a gift. It was nice, but pretty hit and miss on the brews. Also, they do 6 bottles from each brewery, 2 styles from each. So you get 12 bottles, 4 varieies, but only 2 brewers. Would like to see 4 brewers and 3 of each, but I guess this way was cheaper for them to build.
