What beer are you drinking now? #2095

I am contemplating the insane amount of work that still needs to be done for our move, and decided to have a beer.

 

This is better than I remember, actually excellent loaded with roasty coffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate, with a hint of heat from peppers. You will see this a few times this week. Cheers

 

This is a wonderful beer to start my week with.

 

My solution was to hire a bunch of movers then sit in a lawn chair drinking beer while supervising.

 

The rain is coming down yet it's still hot out there . . .



Beautiful red gold color when held to the light and scant off white cap.

Aroma of dark toffee with some floral highlights.

Taste is exceptionally smooth rich dark malt with just a hint of hop bitterness. The malt is definitely roast malt without roasty bitterness. There is a sense of sweetness, due to the rich malt I suppose, but it finishes dry with just enough hops to put a period at the end of the sentence.

 

I just love this local, $10.99 a 6 pack and 6.8% ABV, canned 6/21, and this is my new fridge staple. Love Kettlehead but $15-$18 for the 4 pack drains the wallet a tad.

 

Light HA Tuna starter-up for the day... then meetings. Ugh. This whole going back to full-time teaching is gonna be a drag come a few weeks.

 

picked up a fresh 4pk of this stuff last night as it was being loaded onto the shelves - and had this one from the can at one of our Sunday night free concerts in Yorktown -

I've got 44 hours off before working 7 straight 12s. Gotta make the most of it and this beer is helping. Cheers all!

We are doing that too, but first I have to clear 30 years of detritus.

 

We hope to leave that for our son to worry about, but we are not moving either.
