Definitely some valid qualities in your description as well. Maybe I should start a national forum and ask people's opinions on the matter in here. That would be fun...

I deleted Instagram temporarily so can’t check it easily, but someone should post the video of that drunken oaf kicking beer cans around at Equilibrium. That’s my mental definition of a hazebro

I go to OH a almost weekly basis, make myself walk there and back (hour each way)to fight the beer calories & to limit my purchase power (the walk home is uphill). I'm too lazy to trade, what am I gonna trade for, something as good as OH? I refuse to get IG (I just lurk for info) & Untappd because I realized awhile ago it's better to be zen about the beer you're drinking, enjoy the moment and let it pass (except Space Diamonds, stop with the releases on holidays and festivals). I do have a beard (I trim it and shave the neck), will wear cargo shorts, & I'm tall and lanky. I'm unsure what brisket is about but I always go for burnt ends.

So if a bunch of people whose hobby it is to drink beer can’t even tell if oats are in the beer, then ... why do it?

@jrnyc told me that he was the one that coined the phrase 'IPA' while working for the East India Traders circa 1837.

Are these idiots that shtifaced while waiting for a can release in the morning? So glad I haven't lined up for beer in about a year and a half.

    Because of the music...

If you're a Film nerd, sneak a OH tallboy or two into the re-screening of 2001 in it's 70mm glory... I saw it in the Village last month great stuff and the the intermission is perfect for a pee break. It'll be in Queens at the end of the month.

I think someone posted that the “hazeboiz” (as in the jabronis in those videos, not referring to the entire hazebro population) came to OH for one of their hyped releases and that guy was literally going up and down the line flipping the bird and generally acting like a drunken idiot. Yup.

Beta-glucans produced by a grist with a high percentage of oats will increase viscosity and lead to a silkier mouthfeel, as well as some other potential benefits. The below blog post discusses it quite a bit:

    http://scottjanish.com/case-brewing-oats/

However, at least anecdotally, it's not clear that simply adding oats to a recipe will perceptively change the beer. Here's one example of a Brulosophy triangle test of this exact nature:

    I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Also, you would never catch me dead wearing cargo pants.

It could be worse, OH could be filled with shorts with whales on them.

I've been working my way through my OH stout backlog as I've bought more bottles recently. Velvet Magnum was amazing, so glad I took someone's advice to pick up a bottle. Maple Creamies on the other hand, still really sucks but its not a terrible pairing with coffee ice cream.

I couldn't believe how good Velvet Magnum was. I regret not having bought more.
