Other Half (July 2018)

Not being too seasoned on the stout front, I thought I’d try the two orbit varieties at the taproom today whilst picking up the shower cans. These definitely tasted like 14+% offerings, but the vanilla almond one was pretty damn tasty. Still think Bad Decisions is my favorite OH stout I’ve tried, and yet it got rated pretty low here, so what the hell do I know.

 

That’s a thing now? What happened to just good old shorts with two pockets?

 

Their best stout IMO was the Red Wine IAL. It was the first beer I had at their taproom the first few months they were open and I still remember every sip. It did have an absurd amount of sugar though - my growler cap crusted over with sugar overnight after I forgot to wash it.

Where did they get a pic of you? Do you use the same username on multiple types of accounts? Otherwise it’s kind of hectic. If people want to put themselves out there in public, that’s one thing, but if you are putting other people’s business out there, that’s hectic.

Going up for the first time in about a year on saturday. I'm being told that showing up around 8:30 will get me shut out. Is this true?

unless these are smaller batches than normal - getting there at 8:30PM may not get you shut out of everything. If you want to max out all beers, i'd say maybe 11am? if you want a few 4pks across all beers, you'll most likely be okay strolling up after noon.

At 11:30 it will be walk in walk out with everything available... Only come at 830 if you wanna hangout and trade.
