A Study in Courage is our Ales for ALS IPA, brewed with this year’s hop blend from YCH. $1 per can will be donated to ALS research...

Great beer for a better cause. We are excited to be a part of the program this year along with Tributary from Maine.

As an out of towner, this is disappointing news for me. On Instagram they elaborate to say 5 oz pours will be eliminated. I always like to have the option of smaller pours so that I can taste more of what the brewery has to offer while keeping my intake in control. I recognize that larger pours only will likely make the operation and lines much smoother so I get the reasoning. That said, the once in a blue moon that I am there (or at any brewery), I'd like to be able to try more of what's new, wasn't there the last time I visited or have a small pour or two before I make a can / growler (n/a at Bissell Brothers) purchasing decision.

The lack of small pours has always been my one knock on Foam, a place that to me is otherwise an amazing visit.

if they replace it with 8oz that's cool. but no half-pour option is really bad.

    Hey guys,

I have a good friend coming into town from RI. I normally never have trouble getting subby being close by but I'd like to make sure he has the best chances at it. Has it been selling out daily in the afternoons or any certain times during the week or weekends?

    Thanks!

Sold out at 2pm today. Wouldn't recommend going much past then. Everything's been selling out very fast with the summer season.

Got, I'm assuming there is some form of line each day then even after opening. I'll pass on the word.

    Thanks!

All depends on the day, time, weather, the beer(s) we have available in can, vacation schedules, other brewery's schedules... You get the idea...!

    Some general notes:
    • Thursdays are statistically our most mellow days
    • Saturdays are always the busiest
    • Earlier the better
    • Subby is our most popular beer in cans
Let me know if I can help further!

Hello mike_v_sardina! Coming from Québec in 10 days for my first time at Bissell's. I'm pumped!

The schedule on your website doesn't go after sunday 7/22 so I want to know if you're gonna be open tuesday 7/24? If so, are you gonna release anything that day?

    Thanks for your help!

They usually release the new schedule on the final weekend of the current weekend. You'll likely find out about the 24th on or around the 22nd

    Thanks!

The scary part is that I'm leaving on tuesday. I hope they're are still open on tuesdays in general for the rest of the summer.

I can go to the saturday release but would much prefer tuesday for logistical reasons!

Unless it's "abnormal" on the 24th, the new normal is open every Tuesday with Substance as the only can.

    just for another data point...
stopped in there Tuesday this week around 4. it was a substance-only day, which uthat's been the norm all summer.sed to mean it would last longer. that day's allotment was gone by 12:45, so I wasn't even close. They hadn't made any mention on social media of status that day.

lots on tap and still a good time

I realize it just opened, but does anyone know if the limits of the Portland location apply to the Milo location? Also do they have a good variety and sell cans in Milo? Milo is much closer to me then Portland, but if I can still only buy 1 beer, I am not sure I would make the trip.

According to this article (http://www.mainebiz.biz/article/201...bissell-brothers-to-'test-drive'-milo-taproom) they are only doing hops in 750's and Growlers at this Milo location.

Hey all. Planning on a visit Wednesday the 22nd for the Reciprocal cans. I know things can vary with stuff selling out, but I know this is a popular one and I was wondering if getting to the brewery at noon is a safe bet or should I aim for earlier? Thanks!

Getting there at opening will be fine. There will be a line so don't panic. It moves fairly quickly and if you go to the "cans only" line you'll be able to get in and out that much quicker. You'll be fine.
