    It most certainly is. They have solid food too. Love Local Option. When I was there last summer they had a bunch of stuff on. BA barley collab with Pipeworks, Birthday Bomb, maybe CW BB Stout nitro, etc. You'll run into good stuff there. Going by PW for some barrel-aged to go is also a good rec.

    If you're staying downtown, this might be a beer bar option. They are scheduled to close later in 2018 due to the sale of the Tribune Tower.

    They claim to have 120 beers on tap.

    Was there 3 weeks ago! Very nice beer selection - no whales, but solid selection, and the food was really good with something for everyone. I recommend eating on the patio and enjoying the downtown atmosphere.

    Oh god please do yourself a favor and do not mess with Friday traffic. In other words, don’t detour to fff or mikerphone and get to downtown asap and don’t leave the confines of downtown until Saturday. You’ll thank us later.

    Ha....I dont want to deal with traffic......but Im going w a group who are mostly doing the half marathon this weekend. Ive been told we're going to Oak Park brewing for dinner with the group because a relative lives nearby. I think after that my wife, one year old, and I will head to Mikerphone, and then back to hotel area. Hopefully by the time we're done w dinner/Mikerphone traffic will have died down and maybe i can get another place in..

    For the record, Oak Park to Mikerphone will take you a solid 45 minutes without any traffic snags. If you're in the Oak Park area, Wild Onion and Two Brothers are spitting distance away. Wild Onion usually has their Drago stout on tap. It's a boozy stout, but if you're a stout guy you may appreciate that.
