New to Ohio - Perennial Artisan Ales!

Looks like Perennial will be coming to Ohio via Sixth City Distro. Look for bottles, cans and drafts soon (including Abraxas kegs)!

Finally found the 7/17 wanderer batch in the Akron area. I'm not sure why this series has been so difficult to find. The previous batch was (almost) no where to be found. And this batch more difficult to find than usual for Columbus releases. Fresh Bodhi is becoming more difficult to find as well but plenty of places still have the 6/4 batch on the floors (also strange for Bodhi releases).

Re: Wanderer: Contact Superior Beverage Group and they can provide you with specific delivery info for your area.

Also, where are you seeing 6/4 Bodhi in the market? To me, this is a problem. It's an indication that cases made their way to places that should not have received it. I'm sure there are plenty of other retailers who could have received and sold through those cases before the next bottling on 6.18.

Agreed. Saw Insane Wanderer showed up last Thursday at Rozi's and thought it was the newest batch.. turns out it was from 6/27. Not bad, but they had already bottled a newer batch when Rozi's got the older batch.

Southland Giant Eagle had it from April a few weeks ago, yet they still get 10+ case deliveries, while Circle A (a good shop) is lucky to get a single case.

The 6/27 batch dropped on the floor at Rozis the day the 7/17 batch was bottled. People didn’t seem to mind since 9 of the 10 cases were gone in less than a week. And if we do the math, 20 days isn’t old by any means. But it certainly isn’t 20 hours old.

Anyone going to Vintage Estates tomorrow night for the JO tap takeover? Wondering what kind of a shit show it'll be, if any, and when might be a good time to get there.

They've done this a few times now, and I can't say for certain before it goes down this year, but it's usually less hectic than you'd expect, and I'd think this year would be less so still. Arrival time depends on which couple of beers you want most. Most kegs will stick around through to the next day, only the few most hyped are at risk of kicking early.

Thanks brother. I’ll probably be there by 7. Looking for DB Oil first and then I’ll go from there. I guess I’m just used to Chicago where beers go quickly. Thanks again!

Sorry man, didn't see this until now. I didn't end up going. My fiance got sick after dinner that night so we just crashed.

That's too bad, sorry to hear. All the taps managed to survive through Sunday except DB Oil. I did a side by side by side with Iron Furnace, BB Brick Kiln and Athens 2 Athens. Iron Furnace was the clear winner--I think ddb would have agreed had he not relied on memory. BBBK was super scratchy dry and less complex by comparison, although Iron Furnace was a little syrupy and sweet, I really enjoyed it. They also had a ton of limited release bottles on shelves, some of which were previously to purchase only at JO's. Still had some Houndstooth available when I left.

That's awesome! Yeah, I'm sorry I missed it too.. I had a little share with a friend the previous weekend and he brought a DB Oil, so I wasn't too upset I missed that at VE, though it is really good. Apple Brandy Dark App is a great beer, too, that I was sorry I missed.

What kind of rare stuff did they have to go? I'm sittin on a Houndstooth right now, actually, how is it?

I got plenty of Houndstooth at the anniversary, so I left the bottles at VE for others to grab. But it reminds me of de Garde, one of their best sours to date. They had Antik, 2016 Black Maple, a surprising amount of Cellar Cuvee 11, Skipping Stone, tons of BBBK and BB Oil, and a large selection of their other sours and farmhouse ales you don't see very many places, and hell this as I left Sunday...it was super mellow then.

How did Athens to Athens rate alongside BBBK and Iron Furnace?
