J Wakefield Releases

Wakefest announced for two weeks earlier than last year on Feb 2nd. Day before the Super Bowl in AtL.

 

Yeah. For the football watchers....that sucks

 

I’ll just stay in Miami till Monday this time. Find a place to watch to watch the game Sunday. Also make sure my flight is direct and doesn’t stop in ATL.

 

Anybody recently had batch 1 of everybody dance and care to elaborate on how it’s drinking?

 

3 releases on Friday, 2 NEIPAs and 1 fruited sour

 

I just found out today that JDub's Brewing has nothing to do with J. Wakefield. It's an entirely different brewery in Sarasota. Lol.

Also, where is the best information about Wakefest listed? I tried researching it a few weeks ago to see how much I could find out about next year, but came up shorthanded.

Anyone go to the can relwase yesterday, wondering how the two IPAs came out. Was thinking about stopping by to grab apme before the Manchester United game

 

Looks like J.Wakefield is starting to get some distro. I saw on Craft Beer Cellar Brandon's Instagram page that they got We Are Brut in stock.

 

A little late on this, but I thought Ludicrous Speed was fantastic. Nice and Smooth was good if you’re into pineapple and coconut, I’m not a big fan of those though

 

Honestly I think it's where bad Wake cans go to die...i've seen a couple of shops in Palm Beach also stock some older cans that never sold out...

Do you think it was intentional to pick Zwanze Day for the release? AFAIK, there's no Miami location hosting or anything that he would be directly competing with...but still seems like an odd date to select for a sour beer release.

 

Coincidence, not intentional. I could probably count the people from South Florida who would be heading to Zwanze day on one hand.

 

I thought Zwanze is the 28th? This would be day after. Maybe one hour my dates wrong

 

I guess that might be true. But I would have considered making trip across Alligator Alley if he had chosen a different Saturday.

This made me question it enough to double check myself - but no, Zwanze is the 29th. Always a Saturday, at least as far as I can remember it happening.
