Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Not much going on, another normal Sunday with bottle returns, laundry, and a grocery run later on. Got plenty of new beer hauls they last couple weekends, so I have a lot of reviewing to do.

Insane NEDIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready wheat mouthfeel; light sticky sticky hops, slight resins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Minimal warming 9.1%. Insanely drinkable, perfectly soft feel, never aggressive. Loved the hop bill. The Columbus, Centennial, Loral, Simcoe hops provide more dank/earthy complexity, and a touch more resin drying than Boss Tweed. Maybe not better than Boss, but super close. Insanely juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; with perfect wheat/oat malt balance. Never overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. Will be a go-to all summer along with Greenstone.

Oct 2014 bottle. Tasting awesome! Flavors of huge raisin, plum, prune, cherry, fig, date, orange, pear, apricot, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, and toasted brown bread; with some mild herbal, grassy, peppery hops. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; very creamy and fairly slick mouthfeel. Light sticky hops and increasing lingering bitter/spicy alcohol dryness. Touch of resin. No cloying sweetness. Mildly increasing warmth of 15%, no booze. Dangerously smooth sipping. Definitely a lot more darker fruit/molasses notes and less hop character as expected with age; vs the Jan 2017 I've been having more recently. I haven't had one this old since I reviewed it. This has a lot of similar complexity of an English Barleywine with the added fruits, with enough hop character to feel American on style; without being super bitter/resinous like most of the classic American styles. Really well balanced, kind of a style hybrid of sorts. Not my favorite American barleywine, but I really enjoy it a lot. Hope they make another batch soon, same with Immort Ale.

More milkshake IPAs. This was excellent! Nice head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, strawberry, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine/herbal/grassy bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; creamy/bready/grainy wheat/lactose; light sticky hops and fruit tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tangy dryness. Super drinkable, minimal warming 7.8%, great soft feel for the style. Awesomely balanced juicy hops/fruit puree with a touch of dankness; perfect wheat/lactose/oat/malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. Probably Citra/Galaxy hops. They rarely miss on the fruit IPAs.

Amazing as always. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, nutty coffee, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, marshmallow, toffee, fudge, bourbon, rye whiskey, coconut, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, raisins, smoke, and herbal/peppery hops. Mild roast/char bitterness and bourbon/rye/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal chalky roast, oak tannins, or dryness. Dangerously smooth sipping, mildly warming 12%, zero barrel booze. Super rich malt complexity and balanced vanilla/coffee flavors; with perfect barrel integration. Never boozy, tannic, or drying. Not overly roasty or bitter. One of the smoothest BBA beers I have had. Great price as well. Still on the shelf all over the place. Coming again later this year.

    Good morning, BA.

Enjoying this right now. I had the sherry version last night and I prefer that one more. I have a bottle of the port version that I’ll open up later today. I’ve never had that one before.

    Enjoy your Sundays.

Chilling with some Petrucci right now.

I've been relatively quiet this month since we were in the process of selling our old home and buying a new one. We just had a CRAZY week. We moved out of one house and into a new construction between Thursday and Saturday all while having the biggest beer festival in Indiana sprinkled in between. So, I'm finally sitting down with my first beer in our new home. Cheers!

Wrapping things up in Germany with something new from Omnipollo. This is Yellow Belly Sundae, a stout aged in bourbon. More on NBS. I probably won't be back at the virtual bar until Wednesday after relocating. Cheers all!

Last night, a Lone Star beer at a serious Texas honkey tonk. I was there to test my newly acquired two steppin’ skills.

The place reminded me a bit of Bob’s Country Bunker from the Blues Brothers - but no chicken wire and no one threw a beer bottle that I saw.

I will say that a bunch of good ol’ boys wanting to show off their dance skills on a very crowded dance floor can get rougher than beer league hockey!

Thank you. Carrying in eleven cases of large format bottles and twelve cases of glassware up and down the stairs is highly overrated!
