It's ok that you won't be there. More Black Note for us!

    Love Black Note!
Had it at Valpo Fest a short while ago. What a pleasant surprise that was!

Enjoy Stout day, I'm sure it will be pretty amazing beers!

PS: I'll be watching Bear sipping on some java Coffee and FBS! :stuck_out_tongue:

    Cheers

Picked up bottles at noon today. Probably 10 people waiting in line when they opened.

A place with no TVs is a big plus to the wife and I. Don't watch much football, so we don't feel deprived. Enjoying the beer and others is our entertainment. Really like the Ecentric Cafe and beer garden.

If you ever get a chance to go to the iconic beer spots in Europe, you will not be a happy boy. Not many have TVs, and the only football would be of a different nature - we call it soccer.

As for why they have no TVs at the Eccentric Cafe, my guess would be that someone with the last name of Bell wants it that way. The cost of a TV is small compared to all of the other improvements they made to the place, which were not cheap.

Cheap tap prices, beautiful pub, friendly staff, killer food and no TVs... this is what I call heaven.

In Michigan we go to breweries, not bars. I guess TVs are an afterthought.

I agree. Only been once but my girlfriend and I absolutely loved it.
I also thought they gave us someone elses bill it was so cheap, when compared with Chicago prices.

    I love Bells.

It's all good. Everybody like something a bit different. Today I'm drinking a People's batch 100, BBA IS while watching football.

I do enjoy nice beer garden as well! Haven't been to any musical venues at Bell's. but looks like they have a terrific setup for them.

Regarding Europe, I live there for 11.5 years. Germany, Italy, Spain and France. Could always find some nice pubs there.
Soccer at the pubs are crazy sick!

    Cheers

Cheers buudy, it was a pleasure to share some beers.

Was a fantastic time as always, enough great beer and company to forget about the lack of TVs. Ran into a lot of great BA's, great day all around.

Stranded on an deserted island with one choice...... A TV or another person to interact with. I feel sorry for the guy who picks the TV!

Call the store, very busy day there today. I bought 3 with numbers in the 800's, so it is possible that they are gone, but could also be available.

Me too, electricity is hard to come by on a deserted island!

Why could flat beer on tap be only the bars fault? It could have been flat when they got it.

Maybe I'm going to learn something here, but aren't all kegs shipped flat and then the CO2 is added by the bar's tap system?

Plenty of BA 9000 still in the store... Bottles around the 1100 number mark. Some good stuff at the cafe still as well.

I dont know for sure because I have never worked in the industry, but I always assumed kegs were carbonated by the brewery. I would think the brewery would want to do this for consistency. When you get a keg from a liquor store it is already carbonated, and I would assume the kegs sent to bars would be the same kegs.

Kegs usually take a cpl of days to force carbonate, which is always done by the brewery.
