You are aware that relax and harmony are hop varietals made for tea and not beer?

Yes, I used them as late additions and plan on dry hopping with them to see how they taste/smell. I used magnum and Brewers Gold for my bittering hops and added the relax, harmony and cascade as late additions and I plan on using them for dry hopping.

    Last update for July..

Have a 1.25L starter of WLP800 (Pilsner Lager) spinnin’ as of last night. Will step it to 2.5L mid-week to get enough yeasties for the job this weekend. Brewing my house Pils this coming weekend, which comes in around 5.6% ABV and about 45 IBU. Hopped with Magnum, Tettnanger and Mittelfruh. I usually rotate the last two hops in this Pils, but I’m going back to my first (and favorite) combo. One of my favorite beers I brew and one of the few I actually rebrew over and over.

My Helles is currently crashing a few degrees per day down to 30F as it has finished spunding this past week. Will let lager for 5-6 weeks or so before tapping at my Oktoberfest party in mid-September alongside my Pils. I just had a Festbier kick, which is why I don’t have another in-process, but I will have plenty of “guest” bottles of Oktoberfest for consumption. I figure the Helles and Pils will be a really nice compliment to the Festbier/Marzen I pickup.

Will be a busy August for me brewing wise... The Pils, followed by my wet-hopped IPA shortly after, as my hops are ready for pickin’ very soon here…. Then hopefully squeeze in a Dunkel by the end of the month.

Making a starter for the Averagely Perfect Dubbel. It will be my third brew in 4 weeks after a 4 month hiatus. Just kegged a sweet stout brewed 10 days ago. Nice to be back in the groove![IMG]

Spent the evening dealing with a leak in my kegging lines. Once I got the gas sealed, I flushed the liquid lines with iodophor, just 'cuz I usually use star san and felt it was time to mix it up. Now I'm sampling a bit from each line -- black currant melomel, ordinary bitter, brown porter, and columbus/cascade/ekuanot session ipa (first taste with carbonation -- delicious).

Bottled smoked magic, 2 neipas, Irish stout , chocolate stout, and a house pale. Currently battling spider mites on the hops.
    Cleaning fermenters tonight.
