New England Breweries in Planning?

what new breweries are kicking ass that nobody is talking about yet?

 

Crap. I missed a few. August is going to be busy in CT. Could legitimately see seven breweries open in the next six weeks.

Little House Brewing (Chester) brewed their first batches ~7/20, expected opening in mid/late August.
Litle Red Barn: putting a roof on, no other progress..
Housatonic River Brewing (New Milford) said they hoped to start brewing last week. expected opening late August. Opening day will be announced soon.
Labyrinth (Manchester) brewed their first batch today.

 

Little Red Barn is planning Nov opening, getting equipment mid Sept.

 

Every time I go to VT (which is not often enough, maybe once a year or so) I think I'm going to enjoy Heady less after drinking Trillium and other NEIPAs. And every time I love it just as much, if not more.

 

That's basically where I am but with Second Fiddle. Every time I drink it I wonder why I bother with TH or Trill DIPAs.

 

It is relentlessly awesome

 

Coming back from the Vermont Brewers Fest I had a lot of different beer in the cooler, but that's what I had most of

 

it is readily available in MA now, wouldn't be surprised if it's a shelf turd in like a year. Every time I go to my package store they have one more case sitting around than they did 2-3 months ago. Not as bad as the Sip shipments but I hope it never gets to the point where it's sitting around for over a month.

 

I recently heard they might be getting a location in Putnam, not sure how accurate that is though.

 

Tribus (Milford) opens Saturday, 8/11.
Little House Brewing (Chester) has filled all of their fermenters. Should be opening soon.
Housatonic River Brewing (New Milford) no updates other than interior stuff. They will be announcing their soft opening soon according to FB.
Labyrinth (Manchester) has brewed multiple batches and is "looking at late august" for an opening

 

Tribus opened. I went and the space is nice and large. The beers were all fine, except for the brett IPA. There must have been a bad keg, because it tasted like pool water and half of the untappd reviews were normal, while the rest mirrored my experience. Looking forward to visiting again sometime soon when the crowds quiet down.. It's less than two miles from me, which is nice.

2nd Bridge brewing also opened in Manchester, CT over the weekend.

Labyrinth (Manchester) is doing a soft open for their mug club members on August 25th.

Noble Jay (Niantic) is doing a kickstarter opening on August 25th and public opening the following day.

Norbrook Farm (Colebrook) is shooting for a labor day weekend opening.

Housatonic River Brewing (New Milford) is brewing their first batch today.

East Rock Brewing (New Haven) bottled their first batch yesterday.

 

I'm glad they are finally opening, it's been a while. I think the were selling mug club slots back late 2016

 

Anybody know of any breweries opening outside of Connecticut?

But in all seriousness, With so many breweries opening in every state, I was going to suggest we open a different thread for each one, so you can ignore the CT one

where in everett? already a hotbed over there, with NS, Bone Up, DTR, and Mystic in the immediate area, plus Idle Hands in Malden closeby.

when google searched, Medford Brewing Co comes up..

 

Rustic Brewing Company will be opening in Indian Orchard, MA very shortly (several weeks). As a home brewer, I have served my beer alongside them at a couple events. Very nice guys who make killer NE IPAs (they primarily focus on this style).

They have won numerous competitions as well as this blind taste text against many commercial beers:

They're also pouring a milkshake IPA this Saturday at Vanish Valley Brewing from 12-5.
