    W/O question - Ninja vs. Unicorn when I can get my hands on it. Now, based on its ABV, it’s borderline IPA/IIPA, but it is freakin’ great and timeless and coastless...

    Melvin 2x4 is always hard to pass up.

    On the hazy side, probably Offshoot's Retreat since it's year round (so many hazies are one-offs).

    I don't always drink DIPA,

    but when I do, I prefer-

    WW Freak even though looked down upon by many now. Still my favorite in these parts. Another nod to Revision IIPA.

    Thanks to friends for the not infrequent treat of:
    PtE
    Heady

    both of which stand above everything else out there to me despite being "old school."

    I am amazed how in NC we can get Revision regularly and very fresh. Their single and DIPA stand out in this crowd today. Although they send out lots of those tall hazy cans as well, their IPA/IIPA outshine them (IMO). The Wicked Weed Freak of Nature was my prior favorite "on the shelf" IIPA but have just not supported them the same since the buyout for my own reasons and not because it is not still fantastic.
