I know they don’t do any top fermented beers, but a Summer Koelsch would be Amazing!! I bet they would make an Amazing version, just like their other offerings.

During Bill and Ashleigh's stint at Prost they brewed Koelsch, alt, and weiss. They were excellent renditions, too. I asked about top fermented beers and hybrids when they opened and Bill said they won't be brewing any at Bierstadt. However, that's where collaborations come into play. They did a Koelsch with Westbound and a weiss with Comrade. I think they made a dark weiss with OMF, too.

Finally checking out Odell's Colorado Lager. I'm a fan. It would be a staple of I was still up here in Colorado.

A little off topic...but at Odell's new Rhino location and I cant believe how Denver has exploded since I moved. This area was a dead zone back then. You had Larimer Lounge a few blocks down and that was it. Now it's just insane. Like a totally different world.

While I agree its their best in ages, good luck finding anyone that can keep any of it for long enough to actually ‘age’

You are correct. I think their Helles gets overlooked due to the popularity of SPP. Every time I stop by to pick up Slow Pour, I always get at least one Helles.

One of the bartenders mentioned the collaboration Koelsch, but I couldn’t remember which brewery it was with. Any idea about availability? Wouldn’t mind trying it on one of these Stupidly Hot evenings we’ve been having.

I just had River North's Pilsner (in bold red cans) and it was fantastic. Very light, slightly crisp, mellow maltiness, smooth hoppiness. I would say at this point it's one of the best pilsners I've ever had (but truth be told, not many). Was a great compliment to sushi. Crystal clear, just a beautiful beer.

Just seent on Instabook that Odell is releasing the Double Pilsner tomorrow on draft and in bottles... looking like it’ll be 12 oz singles with a black foil wrapper on top. Hopefully the price is reasonable.

Either way, I’m definitely dick pumped about it.

It’s very very good. Had one at Bright Marten the other day. I have to say I like that mug maybe more than I like the Pilsner glass.

Very exciting news. Used to love that stuff. Here's hoping they have it on tap at the RINO taproom.

I'm pretty sure they came in 4 packs when they were making it years ago, but I could certainly be wrong there.
