So,...let this be a lesson to all of you.

    1. Don't put twinkies on your pizza.

    2. Never admit to being all out of lambic...or any style of beer for that matter.

Received this along with some low fives during Good Vibes Fest this past weekend from @Devman171

Damn Gina! Loons and Boos all day...That 4R decanter though. Thanks bud!

and I received these from @UcDru via @tommyguz

Seriously Fady, you're too kind. Thanks bud!

I count 10, so it seems safe to assume you'll be out of lambic in 10 days.

Had to change brewery due to lack of response which I had a feeling might happen. I guess 18th Street is bigger than expected.

This one might be tough but lets give it a shot before I change it. 5 or more to run or ill change the brewery.

The Locals “New Ticks” Parallel (NTP) Box

Every area of the country has a brewery that gets a ton of well-deserved hype, but doesn’t distribute out of state – or distribute at all, in some cases. There are also breweries that are putting out delicious brews that get little to no hype, but locals swear by their beer. This box will include beers from both types of breweries, hence “Parallel” – two horizontals, if you will.

Now, here’s the real twist – Among other criteria (listed below), the only way you are eligible to receive this box is if you’ve had 5 or fewer beers from the “Main Brewery” listed below in the last 2 years. If you’ve had more than 5, but they were all sample pours of an ounce or two, it is at the discretion of the sender if you qualify. This is the “New Ticks” portion of the box, the idea being to spread the love and get great beer into the hands of people who haven’t been lucky enough to try anything from a great brewery.

    Origin - Indiana

    Main Brewery: Four Fathers

    What’s in the Box?!??!

The NTP box is intentionally reasonably sized (6-10 beers max), and will include 4 parts:

    1. Several offerings from the “Main Brewery”.

    2. A couple offerings from an unannounced “Unheralded Local Brewery”.

    3. Swag from at least one, if not both breweries.

    4. A “Take a beer, Leave a beer” Box.

The “Take a beer, Leave a beer” box:

This box will include 3 cellarable beers, and is like that penny tray at your local gas station. As the NTP box arrives with each new recipient, they will have the option to take 1 (and only 1) beer to drink or cellar for future consumption – absolutely no trading or forwarding, however much you mightwant to. If the recipient takes a beer from this box, they must replace it with something worthy of the traveling box. These beers don't need to be local, just awesome.

    Rules / How it Works:

    ◦ This traveling box is open to all Locals, as well as certified lurkers who have successfully participated in other major BIF rounds here on Beer Advocate. Recipient must not have received the NTP box previously.

    ◦ Sender announces their “Main Brewery” and sign ups remain open for a specified length of time. This brewery must not distribute out of state, and must be worthy of being the focus of the traveling box.

    ◦ Interested participants who meet the criteria (Be honest. No deleting UnTappd check-ins!) must message the sender, and once sign-ups have ended the sender selects a target at random.

    ◦ Sender will keep the “winning” participant secret, and ship within a reasonable amount of time. BIF-style hints encouraged.

    ◦ Once the box lands, the Recipient now becomes the next sender. They should add a local sticker/label/etc… to the inside of the box and reopen sign-ups for the next round when ready (3-4 weeks max).

    ◦ If at any time there are no interested sign-ups, or the exterior box is on its last legs, the current sender will ship back to the originator of the box (@RuckIt).

BM me with "NTP Box" in the title. Include your shipping address, shirt size, swag preference, and what (if anything) you've had from the "Main Brewery". If there are any "do-not-ship" dates, include that info too! I will leave this open until Saturday 7/28/18 or until at least 5 people sign up which ever happens second.

    Cheers Locals #L4L

Who's all coming to Shelton Fest this year? Between Sheltonfest and Doc's GAABF I think I'll be pretty well set.
Friday, VIP. Also, my buddy Scott who is not on BA but can throw down beers will be coming.

You locals are crazy. @RuckIt crushed my porch yesterday with this:

Totally unnecessary, but definitely greatly appreciated. That Treehouse made it only as long as it took to get cold. These bottles sound amazing, and are not long for this world. The 2 bottles are dark matter with vanilla and dark matter aged in rye whiskey barrels. Thanks for the generosity Dave.

NTP box arrived from @MCMASTERSANCHEZ today (slide 1). In addition to the NTP, he also hit me for his 8000 BA like (slide 2). Yahtzee! Lot of beers I haven't had yet, so I am pretty excited. I love the t-shirt and the sweet stemless 18th Street glass. Cheers for all this, Shaun! Expect me to post a new NTP in the coming weeks.

I just kept some interlopers from commandeering my work department's conference room -- one of my coworkers turns to another and goes "Mike's our Enforcer". I told her I have a funny story to tell her tomorrow....
