I wonder if it would be better for them and everyone to simply not announce it's release..a "silent" release if you will. Word of mouth would spread anyway, then they could announce on Mon "by the way Headroom was released on Sat" (if there's any left) It would spread out sales and create less of a shitshow.

Anyone have a guess as to what time the line will start forming in Boston tomorrow?

Unfortunately probably 9 or 9:30. Could even be earlier.

Don’t think I’ve seen them do a silent release too often. Even if it was silent it would still be a shitshow, just one later in the day. I prefer them announcing the beers just because it gives a fair chance to everyone

There is no reason for people to wait in line.

Unless it's for the camaraderie, community, etc., I don't understand why folks keep doing it.

Because people like the beer and it can be fun for the reasons you describe. If you don’t like it don’t wait but no need to knock people who are willing to.

Not knocking it at all, totally get it. But some folks believe you need to be in line pre-open to be guaranteed beer and that's just simply not true. Zero percent chance Trillium would announce a day in advance and risk that happening, plus a multitude of other reasons why it's just not possible.

What's the scene look like in Ft. Point & Canton?

Hoping to swing by when the initial rush dies down a little

Canton is a disaster. Rolled through since I was in the area and promptly bounced out of there. Going to try again a bit later. If coming with wife and/or kids I'd definitely recommend holding off for a bit.

Fort Point was maybe 20 minutes. Line looked terrible, past the parking lot, but a lot of that was extra space from umbrellas. Well-staffed and moved quickly. Looks shorter now.

    Thanks guys.

Went to Ft. Point after reading your responses.

Rain had stopped when I got there and the line was only about 20ppl long. It was a breeze in and out

Ha, can't blame you, though. I was not real surprised to see a long line at Fort Point this morning at 11:45 when I first drove through but was surprised to find that there was still a line (though shorter) when I went back at 3pm. Jumped in line anyway since the worst of the rain had let up and got through in about 20 minutes. I was thinking I could walk in easy at that time but looks like if you wanted this release you had to stand in line at some point...as to a point made by someone earlier, I don't much like to wait in line these days but I did meet someone who was fun to talk to and the time went quick..

My first time having Headroom since my second trip to Trillium in 2015. I’m pretty sure that was the time the line extended straight out into Congress Street rather than wrapping toward the loading dock. This seems absurd in retrospect than I remember feeling at the time. Courtesy of the Square receipt, it was $12.05 for a 750ml bottle.

Think I’m less easily wowed now than I was then, but this was worth the wait in the rain. Absolutely tremendous beer.
