Highlight for me was my blend of FOMO and Fundamaple.... like an even better Ground State. Anyone else do some blending (for science)?
FOCOCO was my favorite, I got tons Of coconut, and it was GOOD coconut not that artificial coconut taste I know all too well imo. Cheers to a well run event and to the dogs for being dogs.

This might be my simple Midwestern roots talking, but I can never bring myself to try to make my own blends at breweries or beer events. It just feels somewhat rude to me, like going to a dinner party and then taking over the cooking because you think you can do it better!

You just haven't gotten drunk enough at a brewery yet to do it.

Have you tried the Smothered Cheese Fries and subbing tater tots at Beachwood? Or the Nachos subbed w/ French Fries (extra wing sauce)?

Or asking for brisket and jalapenos mixed in to the Mac n' Cheese?.

    Cuz, damn, you're missing out.

Yeah man. I also like the pimento grilled cheese with ham and avacado. Or the tater tot caserole with pulled pork instead of duck.

I feel this way about French pressing beers with other adjuncts / ingredients. Part of me wants to do it to bcbs so badly but the other half doesn’t trust myself and feels it’s disrespectful to such a great beer on its own.

    Haha Jameson must hate you.

I got wings one night w/o the wing sauce and I think they messed it up 2x because it took 45m to get them haha. Lesson learned.

Nah, I think he's chill about it. I hope. Been doing it for at least two years.

Some places like Alesmith's Anvil & Stave not only encourage blending, but showcase different ones at times.

Yeah I mean that's definitely different. But I'm not against going to places and blending things myself.

Of all places, I think BL cares the least, even if they don't endorse it.

You bought their beer, and they are very much aware that it's inherit to the situation that people are going to want to try everything they've made special for the occasion and may not all be able to finish everything.

So a whole slew of glasses are sitting in front of you and you've tasted everything to your liking and you're already pretty buzzed. I mean, at this point when they see you tipping one glass towards another, what are they going to think? The horror! What are they going to do? YOU FINISH ALL OF YOUR BEER AND YOU LIKE IT!

I mean really, what's insulting? If you don't feel like finishing your beer as is, they're just going to dump it, which is worse. It's your money down the drain, not theirs.

Part of my annual BCBS horizontal - which is one person's most-looked-forward-to aspect of the share - is once we've all tasted all the variants, blending them all together to make "bourbon country". It usually tastes awful. Especially the year a couple variants were infected. If you can afford more than one bottle, enjoy one on your own and then blend/french press away.

In order of the tastings from yesterday..

    FOCOCO, FOMO, FO, MAPLE, NUTELLA.

Coco was perfect, maybe a sister version of Space Trace I suppose but it was dialed in much better and maybe they got lucky on it. FOMO was and will always be a godamn diabeetus beer for me. Sweet, sugary and coffee but its just a damn dessert beer. Mostra was much better in REN than FO. Maple was fine, but if youre going in expecting GN Double Stack then its nowhere near close to it. Even though the descriptions say tons n tons of maple, it was pretty faint the entire time I drank it. Blending it with other adjuncts was a better choice. Nutella was weird, had this taste that I couldnt pinpoint exactly but it didnt wow me as I was really hoping for since I love hazelnuts.

Agree completely but add a new number one. I call it FOCOCOMO and it's best drank while listing to Kokomo by the Beach Boys.

Any confirmed FO sightings in distribution land? Don't have to name places, just curious if it is hitting anywhere.
