Hi all, visiting Chicago this coming Friday and have to leave Sunday. Going to be a short trip unfortunately. Plan on packing in as much as I can. I've been searching/reading a lot of the threads. Chicagoland resource thread (Spring 2018) has been very helpful.

I did want to get a little more specific in where I'm staying. By the time I train/uber/lyft my way to the hotel it prob is going to be getting close to 5pm. I had planned on staying in that area. It looks like most of where I really would like to go is a bit north. However, I will be staying at The Congress Plaza Hotel on S Michigan Ave.
My buddy and I love to drink/try the local beer. I've got Monks and Timothy O' Tooles on the the list. They seem to be fairly close to where we are staying. Anyone have better suggestions?

Saturday will be heading to Wrigley area until concert time. I've been to Half Acre, he hasn't so will prob hit there. On the way towards Wrigley I was thinking of Hopleaf, Corridor, Forbidden Root? Nothing is set in stone. I just throw that out so I can get good/bad reactions.

If there are any specific sought after beer being released I'd be interested in knowing also.

    All help is appreciated!

Corridor is only a few blocks from Wrigley so imo that's a no brainer for a pre concert beer/food.

Hopleaf is a great spot but slightly further north that I prefer. . you'll need taxi /train. It would be a game day decision based on their tap list.

I think the first question is what kind of beer do you like?

Forbidden Root, Half Acre, Corridor in that order on the way to Wrigley. Hit Sheffield's right after the concert (its walking distance). If the tap list is worth it you can always cab over to Hopleaf. It it was me. I would hit Hopleaf Friday night. and drink your way south. Then do the breweries and Wrigley area Saturday.

Craft Beer. Everything. Except Sours. If I had to narrow in I'd say very hoppy IPAs. But honestly I just like really good beer.

I like this idea and apparently wasn't smart enough to think of it myself. Thanks!

I think I went there in 2016 after the Wrigley shows. I'll have to look at Untappd to make sure.
