Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2018

Stopped by Stinson tonight. It is their anniversary week so 10% off craft beer. They pulled out a few cellar things. Grabbed a 2016 bottle of BCBS, they had 2014 LSD as well as FSM but it looked like single cans for 4.49

Bloomington TW told me that they'll be getting it tomorrow.

 

FSM and DMT just landed at Top Valu on Central.

 

Any chance finding Oops All Berries while I'm out today?

 

Are these expected to sell out fast or will they still be available later in the afternoon?

 

No clue on bottle count, I’d expect there to be 400ish bottles, but that’s a complete guess just based on other releases. 2 bottle limit, but at 20 bucks a pop many will just buy 1. Crummy weather and a terrible parking situation leads me to think they’ll be around into the early evening or later.

 

I came so VERY close to buying some Oktoberfest/Festbier the other day.

But it's early August and it's f-ing 90* outside. Not ready for that shit yet.

Utepils Receptional in cans this year. Good news.

 

There are still several bottles available. I didn't grab any but got a pour.

I have been out of the loop on the TG thread, is this one actually like it used to be or not so much. And is that just a bunch of people complaining to complain in the first place or have recent batches really been that off?

 

King Sue just off the truck at Total Wine Chanhassen. They also have some Tilquin on the Shelf. Just the basic stuff.

I can't speak to the quality of the king Sue yet, but I can say the last batch of fire skulls and money was not nearly as good as the bomber version I had a year or so ago.

 

Cracked a can last night... it wasn’t mind blowing by any means but tasty and drinkable. $17.99 price point.

All these great ipa’s are starting to taste the same to me Just glad to be done with bomber purchases!

 

Just give me fresh & consistent Pompeii batches and I’ll be good with TG.

 

Haha, I grabbed a 4pk at byerlys thinking it would for sure be the newest batch, bc they hadn’t had it out before. Nope, 6.22.18. Not bad, but feel I’ve had better

The Modist is at the counter, but there's also some on the top shelf of the cooler if you want one that's been kept cold
