Haven't seen any other drops yet but I'm guessing most of the "tier 1" shops will get it. That $33 price point though!

Picked up a SN's mixed southern hemisphere pack. Didn't realize this was a tiny bit old (late may packaging) but the couple I had last night were quite nice. Not sure if it's listed which hops are in which beer, but seemed the pils had some nelson and the IPA a decent dose of galaxy.

Picked up Allagash Farm to Face, Oxbow Barrel aged farmhouse pale ale, and Modern Time’s Monster’s Park rum barrel at Fort Point Market this morning.

    Oof. Well that's a pass.

Was at Redstone Stoneham earlier and grabbed a 6-pack of the Sierra Nevada/Weihenstephaner Oktoberfest and a 4-pack of Bell's Black Note Stout.

As a HUGE Oktoberfest fan and also a huge critic of the style I can say I enjoyed my first bottle. See my review in the main SN/Weihenstephan collab thread.

Picked it up at Ball Square along with Weihenstephan’s regular Oktoberfestbier and the Sierra Nevada Fall Mix Pack (I LOVE the Vienna).

It was a SN and Weihenstephan day. They also have Copper Legend and Hofbrau’s Oktoberfestbier which I picked up last week.

Love the SN Vienna too. How do u like copper legend this year? Just had it on tap at the brewery and it really hit the spot.

I like it. But it's my least favorite out of the Oktoberfests I've had this year. Which is Weihstephan's Festbier, SN/Weihenstephan collab, and Hofbrau's Oktoberfestbier.

I have one more can and I want to make sure I have a fresh palate for it, and also take my time with it. Copper Legend was my first Oktoberfest of the season, so I just kind of gladly guzzled it on my porch on a nice summer evening. And then had it last out of a bunch of other beers this past weekend.

After much anticipation picked up a 6er of the SN/W’phan collab o-fest. 2 of my favorite breweries in the world, so obviously thought this would be terrific.

A bit more malt-forward than I was thinking. Very sweet up front, doesn’t get cleaned up in the back by hops, which is disappointing for a SN beer. After taste is unpleasant & lingers.

I’ve heard others have come around to a more positive view with subsequent glasses, hopefully I will also. But for now, I’d put it at the bottom of SN’s festbier series.

Glad to hear you finally got to try it. I think we had opposite experiences. If you haven't read it in the main thread, here were my thoughts.

    "I actually like this collaboration!

Strong bready aroma followed by a sweet (almost too sweet) malt profile with a big spicy finish from the hops.

Body is light to medium, a real drinkable beer.

It's not as robust as the bready flavor I get from a Spaten or a Paulaner (amber), not even close. But it's not nearly as sweet as the Pils malt I get from the pale versions. I would say it's a balance between the two, but it's something different. Breadiness with a flavor I can't quite pin down.

It's also hoppier than the imports, but by no means is this a "hoppy" beer. In fact, this level of hoppiness is necessary to balance how sweet this beer is. Balance and drinkability are the strong points of this brew.

Good beer, something I look forward to drinking again, but not quite up to snuff with the imports for my palate (but I've only had one, so we'll see what happens with a couple more!).

The closest comparison I can make is to Ayinger, which it definitely compares to in color. But it's definitely not an Ayinger clone, it's different.

Next up...Weihenstephan's Oktoberfestbier...for comparison and science."

Cans of Crooked Stave clean beers landed recently. Grabbed a Von Pilsner, an IPA, and a Do You Even Zest? DIPA the other day at CBC Fenway.

Haven't tried the IPAs yet, but Von Pilsner is absurdly good.

Also, new Untitled Art collaboration dropped today. This time it's Neapolitan Stout, a collaboration with Bottle Logic. I'm intrigued. Didn't care for Pudding Stout, but Horchata Stout was money.

    And Grimm IPA cans too.

Von Pils is as good as it was last year at the brewery. Do you zest? was also great for the price.

    More VP please.

pretty surprised by this, or has their NY demand waned that much already?

Grabbed Hubbard’s Cave El Zacatan at One Stop in Haverhill. For me, it’s up there with Abraxas, def one of my favorites from them. Also found a bunch of Jackie O’s wilds at Craft Beer Cellar Amesbury. Does anyone know if this is a one time drop or is MA seeing distro?
