2014 hit distribution. The local place here that sold it had a raffle. 3 cases total. Some guy brought his entire family and ended up winning 5 bottles if I recall.

One would think this thread would have more traffic due to the intense interest they sometimes get. Guess they're only poppin when the TG releases come around.

Hasn't all the cans recently been off and some of the bottles?

First cans of King Sue, Very Bitter and just average compared to last 2 bottles.
Pseudo Sue, (I haven't had a can this year yet that was great. Last incredible batch I had was bottled and sold a 2 years ago at the Morning Delight release at the old taproom.
Fire Skulls Money, Last two bottles were awesome, 1st cans taste nothing like the bottles.

Last DDH Pseudo Sue bottle was garbage... didn't look right and tasted like crap... I actually returned the bottles to the store. Last two batches of Morning Delight have been so so and all I hear from people who had it prior to my first batches of MD and they claim it used to be incredible.

Really disappointed that the new brewery hasn't been able to dial in the recipes and produce a consistently tasty product. I don't think my taste buds are changing... am I wrong?

I agree alot with what you have said. This last batch of KS 08/01, it just OK. FS& M not close to the bomber. The one and only beer to me that is consistent for TG is Pompeii.

Maybe you've missed some of the good ones, but after seeming to hit their stride in the Spring there have certainly been some fails. People have raved about various batches of canned Pompeii, Golden Nugget, and even some PseudoSue though. And I personally thought the FSM canning and both King Sue's were good. Albeit, I'm comparing this to TG's previous inconsistencies as well as the standard of pretty much every other brewery. Is TG more inconsistent than others? Maybe. But you can find people bitching about batch variation for pretty much any hop-forward or barrel-aged beer made. The floaties, for instance, are inexcusable--but case in point I bought a 12-pk of Lagunitas SuperCluster with the same problem (1inch of trub in every bottle). One thing for the hazy hops, I think breweries are pushing the limits of packaged beer. A lot of the offerings from around the country suffer, at least occasionally, from that "green" hop burn that I think people were criticizing the first cans of King Sue for. I assume this issue is partly why John Kimmich stated he prefers to drink Heady Topper several weeks after canning. But people skewer breweries if they don't get them the hops ASAP after canning. I think it's really hard to distribute quantity of amazing hazy IPAs and unfortunately if you must have consistency you need to seek out the few breweries who are pulling it off or tradeoff peak amazingness for consistency and drink something like Sierra Nevada.

Anyone know if ATT gets service in Decorah now? I remember being in Decorah for MDb3 and having a brick for the weekend.

No carrier has service in Decorah and probably won't for at least 5 years.

I could see the towers getting overrun during big releases.

But I've lived in the Decorah area for 6+ years and Verizon or US Cellular are pretty much the only carriers anyone here uses.

AT&T does have service now. It isn't 100% of the town but does cover most of it. I think they added it shortly before the MD batch 4 release.

FYI, I just cancelled one of my rooms at Winnesheik. It is the Winnesheik Suite and big enough for quite a few people.
