I actually prefer to Volume 1 myself as well. It's much smoother, and I get what you're saying about the berry flavor although I'm getting more of a watermelon taste on the back end as well. I've never had an IPA that tastes quite like this, but I really like it.

It's hard with their IPA's honestly because they're all so good, but right now it's like this:

    1. Yakima Fresh Hop
    2. Creeper
    3. IW Volume 2
    4. IW Volume 1
    5. Bodhi
    6. Citra Noel

It's just really tough to compete with the quality and consistency of CBC. They are truly a gem.

V2 is insanely good. And I thought Volume 1 was amazing. CBC is killing it

I personally think Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 are equally good, I like both.. different hop profiles obviously, so it comes down to preference.. It's basically a tie for me, but I think Vol. 2 is more unique while Vol. 1 is just another well done mosaic IPA..

Volume II is pretty unique as others have said. I wasn’t really feeling it at first sip, but towards the end of the bottle I really grew into it. Definitely taste watermelon on the back end as others have mentioned. Very clean and easy to drink.

I'm gonna try both of them back to back tonight out of a Teku glass

Volume 1 was bottled on 7/17/18 so its from the last batch.

GD neck labeler was down for over a week. We think it's fixed now. Fingers crossed.

So looking at the picture above, the text will be a different color denoting vol. 1 vs. 2 vs. 3 and so on?

Not new to Ohio, but has anyone heard when the next Nutsmasher bottling is? I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve had one.

the color is different, the graphics are different, and it actually lists the Vol # on a couple different places on the label and carrier.

    New to Ohio: MELVIN

Look for distribution by the end of the month (next 2 weeks).

Some of the draft selections rolling into the area for launch:
Hubert MPA, Melvin IPA, Killer Bees, 2x4 DIPA, Ruckus Imperial Stout, HeyZeus, Your IPA, Citradamus, Hop Shocker, Scenario Robust Porter

    Also approved:
    Chuck Morris, Drunken Master, Lambda

Cans will rotate with availability, but this is a HUGE win for us. One of the best brewers of hops in the country IMO!

Off topic but do you happen to know if Brewster's will be doing a BCBS tapping again this year? That was a great event last year, very low key.

    Mini Rant:

Why can I pick up week old Insane Wanderer, Bodhi, Mystic Mama, etc at Giant Eagle, but either find old stuff or nothing at all in legitimate bottle shops? Is this the strong arm tactics of GE? Odd for sure

Probably just the amount of peeps that go to grocery store vs the lbs. Have to blame the distributor I would guess, they just want to move that liquid.

Mystic & Bodhi shouldn’t be an issue(for out of stock). As for Mystic & Bodhi being old, that would be more on the lack of movement at particular stores. Insane might be because it might get swooped up by GE’s across the board. We got a good amount when it came out, but we got it 2 days old. I chalk that up to dumb luck in that instance. I am sure it’s frustr for those shops as well.

All I know is the shop I most frequent gets very little CBC relative to the shit ton GE gets; they don’t have a problem selling it but do have a problem getting much at all. Mystic is less of a problem, and despite it being a great beer, it doesn’t seem to move all that fast
