I'll be going to a wedding this weekend in Madison. Is there any place that you guys recommend to try and find some of the 2nd drop of the strawberry rhubarb? Figured I'd ask In case any of you guys recently came across it there? Or is my best bet still a local Woodmans there?

Saw about 6-8 four-packs sitting on the room-temp shelf at Metro Market grocery store on the far east side on Wednesday. Can't imagine it's the only place that still has some, but if you find trouble, hit them up.

Beechwood hasn't shipped Serendipity since the first drop of SR. SR replaced it for the summer so I suspect it will not be easy to find at this point.

And just to add, because this used to piss me off, AT&T users now have full reception at the brewery. It's a festivus miracle!

Thanks for all the replies. Luckily was able to find a gas station with about 8 bombers of serendipity not all that far from my hotel. Nice way to cap off my business trip.

I had solid service on Verizon, too. Not full, but it wasn't a total dead zone either.

I would get one bar if I parked on the tree side of the parking lot. Usually enough to send a text, but that was it. In the brewery or in the courtyard, fuggaadaboudit.

Oh no, I meant as of late. It definitely used to be pioneer times service up there.

Is it cheaper to buy kegs at New Glarus, or is it safe to assume it’s actually more expensive at the brewery than at liquor stores... like everything else?

Any shops worth recommending for kegs?

I've never seen kegs for sale at the brewery. If they did though, I'd assume they're more expensive as to not undercut the retailer. As for stores, where are you located? I'm in Lake Geneva and Bruno's would be the place to call. I would stay away from grocery stores, most of us don't carry tappers. I'm guessing the same with larger chains, i.e. Total Wine and such. Last time I ordered a keg for a customer the distributor had to go to the customers house with a jockey box and a co2 tank. Huge pain in the ass.

I assume the R&D kriek bottles sold out but just looking for an official confirmation here? Thanks!

Highly doubtful. The limit was 4, implying a big stock, and someone mentioned a pallet being there a few posts back.

Someone that has been there more recently than I should comment with more concrete knowledge, but I bet it is still there in large quantities.

As always, your best option is to just call the brewery.

There was about 1 and a half layers of the pallet left on Sunday afternoon for Kriek, and like 3 layers of the pallet for Vintage '17.

And they probably have more pallets in the back.

Safe bet. I remember seeing about 2 1/2 layers on a pallet of Vintage '17 last October when I was last there.

Chances of either being left over for the first week of October? Traveling there for business and hoping to grab some bottles.

Impossible to say, but more than likely, yes. I would check back here closer to that week and/or call New Glarus that week.

Now that summer is winding down, any rumors about what's on the docket for October through year's end?

The Blacktop/Snowshoe overlap was a nice way to mix things up last fall. I'd love to see them drop something unexpected from the regular seasonal list, especially some of the wheat beers (other than the recent Dancing Man and Bubbler).

Maybe good? They were also selling Vintage '16 last year at the same time. I can only tell you my experience since I've only been to the brewery twice, once last October and August that same year as part of my Great Taste release pickup.
