Since Dark Horse is one of your favorite breweries, you'll have to plan to attend the crawfish festival that is held there each year. I couldn't find the date on their website but I think it's usually in May or June. It's a fun time if you don't mind eating those things and having all of the peeling work that goes along with it.

It’s a pretty random username. Shane is an Irish name, I decided to add an « x » because it was obviously already taken here.

My BA user name means that I didn't get the one I wanted in the first place. Or the second place. Or ... well I tried quite a few before settling on this one.

I tried my first name first, and didn't expect to get it.

Then I tried my first name with second initial, and didn't expect to get it.

Then I tried my first name with second initial next to the first without a space. Didn't get that either.

After a number of other user name tries, I decided to Google "Australian slang for a beer drinker", or something similar, even though I'm not Australian. The term "Bogan" came up, saying it meant something about a guy who is unsophisticated and/or drinks a lot of beer. I thought "What the hell, why not?" after trying numerous other user names that were already taken. So, here I am, JBogan. Cheers mate!

"Pudgy" was the nickname applied to me by the men running the lower-division Los Angeles [Valley] soccer team in 1982. To them, it sounded 'Brazilian'. Thankfully, it is meaningless in Portuguese, unlike some other soccer players who got stuck with a nickname, like 'Tatu'; which means 'armadillo'.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
When I discovered the World-Wide Web, and needed a Username for fora and the like, it arose back to the forefront. 'M' is for monster, and 29 was my preferred uniform number - including the kits I produced for the 1994-95 Chicago POWER indoor soccer team. :relieved:

Keeping it simple with first name last initial,,, My avatar is meant to show humor that's a little bit edgy. Political correctness is a cancer, free and open Civil Discourse is the solution!

According to wikipedia, Papposilenus is a minor rustic god of drunkeness and winemaking. I have never made wine but I am often a little drunken and godlike, if only in a minor, rustic way.

I look pretty much like my avatar only in a ratty flannel shirt and with a much larger penis.

Mine is a carryover from a guitar forum where I contributed many years back. The idea originally came from a Stevie Ray Vaughan article I read in a guitar magazine that discussed how to play a number of his signature licks. I thought it was a great title for his style of playing...and mine. There you go!

Mine was a play on the people I saw drinking craft when I joined.

Fat men acting like boys showing off their brewery swag.

I'm not fat in real life, I've met a ba or two that was suprised I was not fat.

If mine isn’t obvious to you, you haven’t been reading enough late 16th century clandestine manuscripts.

Coronaeus is neo-Latin for crown/crown wearer and is a character in Jean Bodin’s late unpublished dialogue “Colloquium heptaplomeres de rerum sublimium arcanis abditis,” on which my doctoral dissertation is based.

Or classical mythology. Coronaeus was the king of Phocis and his daughter, Coronis, was changed into a crow by Athena. Not as obvious a beer tie-in as Papposilenus, though:slight_frown:.

This is indeed correct and the source for Bodin’s character.

    I’m also a kingly fellow.
