While I'm new to the stouts I'm learning to notice the changes in taste as it slowly warms. A fantastic beer! Thanks youse two WI guys.....

 

Yes indeed. I've only had a couple of beers from them but they were both insane. Funnily enough these are the only Mikkeller beers I've ever had (from any of their locations).

Got the Norwegian sailing pram home yesterday - so strange that I bought it decades ago for $75, restored it and sold it for $500 to a guy in Cleveland years later, now I bought it again for $100, without the sail rig, rudder / tiller, and daggerboard....she needs work, but I can use my sail rig (and will make an appropriate lug sail for her), and the other components will be easy to replicate....cool little mahogany boat!

Good morning, all! I'm drinking this Thomas Hooker Nectar of the Goats Pale Ale, another Connecticut brew from @PatrickCT. This is the quintessential "session" beer. Light, good hop character without being overpowering, crisp and dry. The can lists the hop bill as Cascade and Centennial; the web site description says Sorachi Ace and Bravo. I'm getting pine, orange zest, Meyer lemon, and grapefruit, with nice bitterness and a very light malt presence. Not bad!

It is a beautiful day, so we will be spending it outside. My daughter is currently in an unorthodox batting stance, holding a wiffle bat, while standing on a sandbox. This makes her just as likely to hit St. Louis Cardinals pitching today, as any player currently on the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.
