Uber Quenchel is fantastic by Heist too

Uber Quench'l is probably my favorite Heist IPA in a crowded field of great Heist IPAs. It might just be me, but I feel like the Galaxy hops shine through a little more presently in UberQ than in CitraQ, which sets it a little above Citraquench'l for me.

Pretty sure that’s because there is no galaxy in Citraquench’l but there is in Uber.

New Anthem's Kill The Headlights DDH Citra is in the run don't walk category.

Ridgewood taplist right now includes multiple hoppy beers each from Heist, New Anthem, and Burial. Pretty good representation of the best hops the state has to offer imo.

I know HDR had its shitty phase but it’s awesome right now. Cheers!

I had Never Enough Hugs at Bond Brothers on Friday. Collab with them, Resident Culture and Wilmington. It's a milkshake DIPA. I'd never had a milkshake DIPA. I enjoyed it. It was incredibly juicy with a thicker mouthfeel.

I'm heading to Manteo Sunday for a week. Any beer suggestions are appreciated. Trio, Wine, Beer, Cheese is already on my radar. Wasn't sure where to put this so please move it to a more appropriate thread if needed.

    Thanks.

Hit up buffalo city jug shop across the bridge in nags head, probably the best selection on the obx, bottles and draft, including to go and growlers. I don’t care for the brewery in manteo. Outer banks brewing is good and if you find yourself going further north, weeping radish is a very cool spot. Eat at tortugas, fish headz, sam and omies, blue moon. Have a good visit.

I love the AVL IPA from Highland. I am firmly in the west coast IPA camp.

The current Casita dipa they just released called something so sincere is quite phenomenal. I highly suggest trying to grab a can and give it a shot.

Was it sweet? Sounded kinda odd, but I might grab a single if I see it again.

Has anyone checked out Pinehurst Brewing Company yet? I have visited the area a few times and loved Heist and met Eric a few times and would love to come back out and see what his new venture is about.

I didn’t really get a big sweetness from it. All very subtle. Based on the fact that the can art is a cake, and it’s their anniversary, I think of it as a play on a lemon blueberry wedding cake but with hops to add bitterness and level out the flavors. Worth a try if you see a can. $4-$5 everywhere I’ve seen them.

Very interesting indeed. Lavender wasn't too bad for me, but not sure I'd drink another one.

Yeah, just heavy lactose and a bit of a strong malt backbone for me. Still waiting for Casita to really nail the NEIPA flavor.

Although it was one of his earlier releases, I still think "Been There Done That" is Casita's best IPA so far.
