For me the low ABV is actually something I'd conceivably pay a premium for since well-made lower ABV beer is somewhat hard to find these days. I don't drink beer to feel alcohol, and consequently I don't view higher ABV translating in any way as "value." If that sort of "value" was what I wanted, I'd just drink malt liquor.

    Obviously that's my opinion, though.

You don't enjoy getting a buzz at all?

I didn't say that. I don't mind it sometimes, but very, very seldomly do I drink with the intent to feel anything. Most times I'd prefer if it didn't affect me at all. I said it in the old "Would you drink alcohol-free beer if it tasted the same?" thread, that yes, I absolutely would, and I welcome that if it's ever a possibility.

Getting a buzz/drunk can be fun sometimes, but most of the time I am drinking exclusively for flavor or refreshment.

I agree whole heartedly. If the beer I loved had identical non-alcoholic versions I wouldn’t touch soda or juice ever again. Unfortunately, though delicious and refreshing, beer has some side effects that limit the days I can partake.

This is the primary reason that I love coffee and tea just a tad more than beer (and other alcoholic imbibements). Coffee and tea I can basically have as much as I want of, and while they don't have the same gamut of flavors, they do have a similarly wide variety and complexity of flavors. Even beyond the immediate inebriation effects, the long term health effects of too much alcohol also keep me from consuming as much as I'd like in a perfect world free of these effects.

I definitely enjoy the side affects of alcohol to an extent (occasionally more), but I would go for more of a “premium” beer like NvU, as I think it’s a better beer, I get more volume, and I won’t be tempted to down an entire 4-pack in one night because of its ABV.

Great event last night. The Oxbow, Half Acre, Bells, and Assembly v4 were my highlights. Also agree with the other points regarding Small Talk. Great hazy session beer. Like Son of Juice, it will be a great easily accessible option.

Event last night was excellent. All of the beers were good. ARv4 is money. A touch green but next week it is going to be killer.

Check your Binny's. Mokena Binny's had it on the shelf when I was there yesterday.

Had the new Assembly Required (raspberry peach) yesterday, and it's incredible. On Hudson Valley levels of great.

I like 11th. I can make the 4th but that seems like a bad idea after a 5 day golf trip. Cool with what ever

would suggest 9/11 given the long weekend coming up.

and it gives us more time to find those 4th and 5th beers to bring too...
