    Hi

Will be driving up from NC thru Virginia (home to PA,) over the Chesapeake Bridge into the
    DelMarVa. (Route 13)

Are there any local Virginia/Marlyand fantastic IPAs that are readily available
that I can pick up along my journey?

    Thanks

You have Benchtop in Norfolk right off 64 (264) and you have Commonwealth right next to the bridge in Virginia Beach. Both keep their Instagram pages very up-to-date and I like both brewery’s beers.

Further up in Maryland you have RAR if you go the route 50 (Cambridge) way to PA. I’ve never been there before but their beers rate really high around here.

Other than that I don’t know, I’m not local to that area.

This guy hit most of the spots I would've named (Commonwealth, RAR), but I'd also add Burley Oak in Berlin, MD to the list. RAR probably won't have cans unless you happen to be going on a release day (which are ~every other Saturday), though they sometimes have stuff left over (check their Instagram), and they will fill crowlers. Burley Oak also usually does weekend releases, but occasionally will release cans during the week as well, also use their Instagram for the latest.

Burley Oak is a definite, every time I have been there they have had at least 2 IPAs on tap and at least one in cans, best Maryland brewery imo. Burley is not too far out of your way, just veer onto 113 in Pocomoke City. RAR puts out some nice beers, but unless you are going across Bay Bridge into Annapolis, they are an hour away from route 13. EVO is ok, but nothing at brewery IPA wise that you cannot get in bottle shops. Except for Dogfish Head in Deleware I don't know of any place else worth stopping.

Sorry if I was not clear. Looking to stop at a bottle shop along the route from the Outer banks up to the CBBT, then up route 13 towards Phillly. What bottle shop should I stop at, not far off my path, and which local brews should I buy from that shop? (IPAs only) Looking for the best of the best. Thanks!!!

If you are only looking for a bottle shop, the best one between the CBBT and Seaford, DE is Cheers in Salisbury,MD.My favorite local IPAs are Lot No3 From Evolution(Evo) and Nanticoke Nectar from RAR.Check the dates.

If headed up across the CBBT, stop at Commonwealth right by the south tip of the bridge. Not far off the path.

When you get just into Maryland from ESVA, take 113 north instead of 13 and hit Burley Oak in Berlin. A block away from Burley is Cheers...which should have some good stuff too.

And from there you can take 113 north or head over to Salisbury and hit 13 north. Personally I think the 113 drive is smoother and calmer heading north to Dover...
