They should kill Dry Hop and make it Corridor East or something

Simple, guys. We level that block of Southport and start a gofundme to buy the entire thing for Corridor.

Way easier than anyone else's suggestion.

I just assumed all the construction over near Clark and Addison was for Corridors expansion...

I disagree strongly. I think a lot of DryHop's beers are equally as good as Corridor's, yes, including the NEIPAs. I think they make a more diverse selection of beers as well, and the food is different enough from Corridor's (and just as good). They just don't get the same hype for...some reason that I've never been able to really understand. Obviously I am in the minority, though.

Maybe they could somehow combine the two rather than just killing DryHop.

I always assumed it was because 1) Corridor really made the push for NE stuff earlier than DryHop (it was Corridor's "thing") and cranks out way more of them and 2) it's an absolute mess navigating near DryHop if you're not on foot.

The latter is the main reason I never go there, even though I've liked everything I've had.

For sure. I figured this was probably at least part of the reason why. The location is good on paper, but parking and driving down there is a good way to test your stress tolerance.

Just waiting (dreaming) of the next can release. Hope the traffic dies a little after summer.

But on a separate note…Congrats to Corridor for building their brand by consistently putting out high quality product. I feel like consistency is an issue for some other local breweries. Definitely in the conversation for best Haze in Chicago! And up there with TH, OH and Trillium.

Definitely sucks @JFresh21 g-friend struck out. I’d be a little pissed too, but it’s only beer and we have plenty of other options. Corridor does their best imho to keep the public aware of what’s going on.

I would agree that they're better at other beer styles than Corridor, but I've found all of their NE styles to be a significant step down. That's why I want more Corridor, because when I go there I'm going for the haze, the whole haze and nothing but the haze, so help me God. So I dont really care about their skills in other areas.

The DryHop food was indeed good, though.

This x 1000. I am an unrepentant vinyl junkie but almost never make it to the Reckless location across the street for the same reason. In fact, several times a year I drive specifically out to shop there and wind up leaving in frustration after 5-6 loops around the block.

Possibly my least favorite stretch of Chicago for purely logistical reasons.

Sure, I can totally respect that. I think it would be nice for them to combine their strengths and have offerings from both breweries on at both locations.

That said, I'm at saturation point for hazies and prefer Forbidden Root to Corridor anyway, so I appreciate the variety. I guess my opinion doesn't matter all that much, though, since I never go to Corridor anymore due to how annoying it is to get a table.

I love Corridor's beer and food, it's just such a hassle for me to get there. Especially with so many great options out there nowadays. I can walk into my local Binny's and grab Forbidden Root, Hop Butcher and Hubbard's Cave 4 packs regularly. When I do find myself in the city I certainly seek it out as they are still my favorite for hazy brews, not too mention their other offerings as well.

I was going to say we should gofundme an industrial canning system for Corridor, but that seemed too ambitious.

There is some nice retail spaces going up in Mokena. Perhaps they'd consider expanding to the SW burbs?!?!

La Grange Park, La Grange retail is crazy expensive a bunch of shops moved out recently because of that.

I have a hookup with the Village of LGP, lets make it happen

Yeah, great. Hop Butcher left to the burbs, Mikerphone is in Elk Grove now, let's move Corridor out there too!

Guys, I don't think it's too much to ask that we keep all the beer near me, in the city.

Pipeworks isn't going anywhere soon, especially with that taproom. You are damn lucky!

At least I get to work in the city and get the best of both worlds
