First timer here. Plan on leaving at 430 am...to get to pulpit by 830 for some cans then to C@C for share....then to Toppling for my 12:15-1:45 bottle pickup window. Go big or stay home ha. Pray I make it back home to my fiancee lol.

 

Damn. If you make it there in 4hrs from Chicago, you’re hauling! I’m bringing my mule, I mean fiancee with. We’re in the same session as you, but we’re not leaving until 6-6:30AM. Probably will hang around until 6PM and then head back. If you see a guy in blue Bissell Brothers shirt (with state of Maine outline on the front) that will be me.

On two different nights/palates I learned the 8/10 Pseudo is Repug. Unrecognizable as a great beer brand. Had a batch a month prior that I liked a lot. Bought this at $7.99 on sale and it was rough. TG has to get their consistency situation under control as essentially a big regional brewer

 

SOSUS on shelves at Binny’s Marcey. No discernible date. Passed.

 

The batch of Fire Skulls Money from 8/31 is incredible. Probably the closest thing I've had to Monkish IPAs out here.

 

Agreed. Amazing batch. Same quality as the bombers, and draft I had at the Assassin release.

 

I enjoyed it last night. I felt like the Nelson jumped out among the hops with this batch

That's good to know. Up until this point the closest thing I've been able to find to Monkish was monkfish....

 

Anyone spot any Fire Skulls Money in the north/northwest burbs (Vernon Hills, Libertyville, Buffalo Grove, etc.)? Would love to find some.
