The only Lagunitas beers I've rated under 4 are their Imperial Stout, IPA, and Undercover Investigation Shut-down.
    Excellent beer, excellent value.

Agreed. You and me both. I am constantly amazed at how much this one seems to fly under the radar. When taste and price are the twin benchmarks.....this can not be beat IMHO. That said.....I am kinda glad about it. I'd hate to see this get the love that some others get, that in turn, makes them much more difficult to obtain. I can always grab a sixer of this for around 9 bucks and never have trouble finding it.

With some age it does turn into a great old ale.

But sticking with the post I thought their Imperial Stout wasn't that great. Had too much anise and molasses. Wasn't terrible so yeah I guess they never did brew a "bad" beer.

I am a very big fan of Lagunitas, and I can't say that there's anything in particular that I disliked, and as has already been said, these guys are hop masters. And I also reflect something else that's been said - I looked at my previous reviews for their products (14 of them so far - and so many more to try!) ...and Cappucino Stout is my lowest review so far...it was still a good beer, but I prefer their hop-centric offerings for sure. I think you should definitely give them a try, find a place that does mixed 6xers and try a few, I don't think you will be disappointed

They're a very solid brewery, but there's something ubiquitous in their beers that's getting...predictable. Anyone else notice this? I don't know how to better explain it. I'm also not very sober.

"Lagunitas PILS" ... least favorite from them but still good enough to order once in a while.

It's the same with Southern Tier. I think it's intentional and you either like it or you don't.

Agreed. I used to like it a lot, but I'm tiring of it. Probably have to take a break from them for a bit. Regardless, they put out great stuff at a decent price.

I did not like Little Sumpin'....in fact, I nearly drainpoured it. It was the taste, carbonation and the aroma was awful. Maybe I got a bad glass or dirty tap lines but I could barely stomach it.

I didn't like their Imperial Stout at all.

Didn't like Lucky 13 very much for some reason, but I'm still to drink an actual bad beer from them.

I don't really like a lot of their beers, I still have to try daytime IPA and Brown Sugga. The cappuccino stout I thought was nice but not great. But I know why I don't like them, it's the type of hops they use. Same with sculpin, I really don't like that beer just because of the type of hops. Perhaps I'm an odd one, but I usually am on the same page with other beers from other breweries as to what the majority feels is great.

Imperial Stout is not good. It's like a sweet/ fruity, alcoholic brown ale with IMPERIAL STOUT stamped on it.

Lagunitas is one of my favorite breweries, but as others have mentioned, too many of their seasonals and special releases taste nearly the same, especially of late - to me, it's a dominant sweet ruby red grapefruit hop character, and minor variations from there.

Lagunitas Pils is their only average beer I've had. What I like about Lagunitas is they sell their beers at a reasonable price. They also make one of my favorite beers of all time (Little Sumpin Sumpin), so I have a soft spot for Lagunitas.

Not in my opinion, but some are much better than others.
