    Good Morning,

I am headed to Pittsburgh this weekend. I am looking forward to checking out Brew Gentlemen, but does anyone have any recommendations of beers to drink or beers to bring home?

Dancing Gnome and Hitchhiker are about a half mile from each other. So that would save you some time if you're trying to hit several. You'll love navigating through Pittsburgh.

Also, East End Brewery as well. They've always been friendly. They have a smoked beer I enjoy. A style I don't see too often.

All kidding aside anything outside of Pittsburgh Brew Co. (makers of Old German ) should be pretty good, they have a sterling reputation as a beer city!

I'm not sure what style you're looking for, but if you're looking for IPA's, I think you made a solid choice with Brew Gentleman. As some others have mentioned, Dancing Gnome and Hitchhiker do some solid stuff. Grist House is a pretty cool place to spend some time and they do some solid beers. The other IPA place I like, but it is on the other side of the city, is Insurrection. They do some solid IPA's there.

Hitchhiker and Dancing Gnome have beer releases on Saturday, if you're looking to pick up something to take home. Grist House typically has releases on Saturday too, but I'm not sure about this weekend. Enjoy wherever you may roam.

I have a friend in Pittsburgh and went to Brew Gentlemen for the first time on my last visit and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They had a fantastic porter to go along with the IPAs as well.

And I'll second Grist House as being a great space to hang out with solid beer as well.

If you want a great older school IPA, grab some Fathead while you're in town.

As near as I can tell, driving in Pittsburgh consists of going around in circles crossing the same river multiple times until you magically end up somewhere else.

If you're lucky there'll be an 8 foot wide, two way road going straight up the side of a hill mixed in there somewhere too.

Although their beer isn’t brewed on premise, FatHeads is a great place to eat and drink. And down the street is Smokin’ Joe’s. Decent selection of beer there.

Brew Gentlemen and Dancing Gnome have the hype, but I was in Pittsburgh last week and found lots more to like about the beer scene. Cinderlands, Strange Roots, and Roundabout impressed me for different reasons. And I've been fond of East End for years. Also, FYI, the Pittsburgh Brewers Guild just released an interactive guide that might be helpful as you plan your trip: https://pghbreweryguide.com
