Bottom line is that everyone in the craft beer community trades, don't like it!? Well, there's really nothing you can do bud other than keep getting triggered by people who talk beer value. I honestly don't try to trigger anyone, but it seems thats all I do & speak the truth about what I see & hear but I guess I'm Obnoxious...:smirk:

I think most of it just comes from the fact he lives out in the boonies, and he finally has another hazy spot besides monkish he can reliably hit up.

Will agree though that I think it's bit of a beer drinker generational gap as most of us are associated, maybe rightly so, some of the weird subculture the hazebros are into, and he's also like the only one on here. Lets not forget, pacifico profile picture doesn't help lol.

Not true, I know lots of people who don’t trade and I have only done one trade of a beer I don’t love but was highly rated to get another highly rated beer.

I don’t trade, and I used to not care about those who do, but I’ve grown to completely hate the culture around it and think it’s largely ruining beer for me.

Sharing brews with friends is one thing, but mules tend to be some of the worst human beings alive and treating beer as collectible/profitable instead of enjoying it is so incredibly odious. I mostly just preorder beer online these days so I can avoid that garbage.

Not saying they're not quality but how much are they paying you? Kinda suspicious

Hit the nail on the head. I'm all for supporting a growing brewery, and I love a good hazy IPA, but I think it's too much when everyone wants to swoop in for cases just to throw out for a trade. Granted I live about ~1 hour from this place, I loved to comfortably come in and get a crowler with no difficulty when heading that way. They make solid beer, and I am not afraid to admit they make a kickass craft michelada (possibly one of the top ones IMO), but no one mentions that. This thread is becoming hype for haze, haze, HAZE.

If u cant handle gluten you better stay away from Electric. They use a ton of flour/oats. So that being said, they are NOT on Monkish level. Or even close to it.

No matter how fun these back and forths get between us, your on some sort of level that I am not. At the end of the day, beeradvocate website is to talk beer in any aspect, trading is part of the beer community whether you like it or not.

Yes. And there's trade forums to talk about trades.

No one here is trading back and forth with one another, we are simply talking about beers from electric and how their future in the craft beer world is looking, whether it's trade value or how many oats are being used in their beer. I started this Electric Forum to talk beer, and all you non-traders are coming in here trying to talk down to us traders/ME. Your taking away from electric brewing forum, not me.

I understand the annoying culture that comes with beer trading, like the Monkish people prowling the parking lots waiting for a can release for the hype-train bro.

But trading is fun, to connect and grab beers from across the country is fun, beer you would not normally get otherwise. I think it becomes problematic when beer trades become a secondary-trade nightmare, and you're looking at 4 monkish cans trading for 6-8 cans from another place that have the same price, simply because of the hype and the name.

I trade with people back east, and midwest, but we only ever do trades for the value. So I send someone some FO, and they send me some beers of the same price points. I know people abuse that, but that's inevitable in everything.

back to the beer, I did not think they were going to sell out on their last release, they are talking about maybe doing another release this Friday. If so I'm definitely going try to grab some cans and trade some for their previous release.

Good people in the community send beer for no fucking return. There is no value other than what you paid. Stop trying to find trade value, for any brewery. The trade value aspect is ruining the community, whether you realize it or not.

I love it too. They honestly think I'm the sole person ruining their craft beer experience, when I'm only the 1% that doesnt SELL, MULE or EXPLOIT beer from the hazebros. thankx @dranthony2012

I don't think anyone thinks you're the sole person. But anyone thats been in the beer community for a while, see's this as what it is: part of the problem. Trading should be fun, not about the newest 16oz can value. If you establish good contacts throughout the states, then you dont need to worry about the "trade value". It should be about sending good beer to each other, no matter what. The community should be about giving, not about maximizing what you can get.

Its funny you say no one is pointing their frustrations on me when Im the only one answering back to all the non traders/OG beeradvocators.I can see how it can effect the beer community by putting trade value on beer, but thats the way the world works skunk boy, its not my fault ur ass smells, just the way god made you(just an example, I dont really know if ur ass stinks or not:sweat_smile:) All I'm trying to do is add content to the website and grow within the craft beer community. You should have seen me on the Monkish forums. Same thing is happening here on this electric forum, but sooner or later I converted most who despised me & now I even get invited to some of their shares. That my friend is what its all about!!! Community!!!!
