i have a bottle of civil disobedience #5 I’m considering trading. Is reine de pres, magic lambic or 50n 4e fair? Getting lots of varying info, but don’t want to toss out a trade that’s ridiculous. I know #5 was very limited and 6 years ago so there can’t be too many floating around still I wouldn’t think. Just curious what people think

Would the new Peche du Fermier + a SP "shelfie" be enough for MD B5?

I feel like you should be able to get about three Speedway with two BCBCS.

depends on limits/allocation and how long it lasts but i don't see a world where it wouldn't.

That'd be cool. I'd do 2:2 even though to close it down. Just posted a trade so we'll see.

I just received a hard to pass up FO b4 ×2+ for my VR or FO b4 ×3 and a plus on my end. Give me a break Cali.

I disagree with this. Unless the limits are low, this is just like any of the other more common fruit releases. As of now, it doesn't appear that this is as exciting to people as something like AdF. I would think AdF and a "shelfie" could get it done, but not a less desirable/less hyped bottle/large bottle count bottle (like it sounds Peche might be).

A little confused where you feel like the trade should be, but it sounds like we are probably in agreement.

Seems like 3x FO B4 should be close. 2 is definitely under; 4 seems like too much. 3 or 3+ seems reasonable.

I'd think 3+ is accurate. At least that's what I'd need. I quoted blkhawk14 in agreement.

What makes AdF so much more desirable than Peche? This will only be the second release of the Peche. I've had the Abricot and it was great, but in general I prefer peach usually and Fuzzy was way better than La Fosse this year. This year's La Fosse destroyed my stomach.

Just what I am seeing from comments and expected bottle count.

True, many people thought Peche was one of the best at Fermier day, but if the bottle count is high - not sure you should expect for it to trade like AdF.

So, perhaps I was combining too many things. There's bottle count of AdF vs. Peche, ability to acquire (lower/higher limit and whether looping was easier or more difficult based on turnout, then rating/desireability of each. AdF is rated higher, so there's that, but as I understand it expected bottle counts for AdF is expected to be lower than Peche.

Honestly, it just depends how it all settles after the release. Depends how this batch is received and the bottle count. I definitely don't "know" the answer, I'm just saying that I don't think you should expect for sure that you can make the trade. Depends.

counterpoint would be that this years MD also had a significant bump in bottle count and as a result is settling down significantly lower than previous 22oz bombers started at. May bounce back up as most saying its better than previous 2 iterations but its sitting at or just above AdF right now

Agree with this totally. I was just saying AdF value doesn't equal Peche value (necessarily). That's all. Otherwise, totally agree.

Yeah that totally makes sense. Trying to decide whether or not to actually make the trip this weekend. What about Coffee Abraxas + Vanilla Abraxas for the MD b5?

I'll let others speak up on that one. I'm honestly not knowledgeable really at all about those. When they first came out Vanilla was trading pretty close to what it seems like AdF is, but now adays no idea. No idea about coffee other than that it usually seems to be less favored than Vanilla.

Yeah I agree. Vanilla was going 1:1 with FO b3 for a bit which at the time was near where MD is now I think, maybe just a little less.

Okay last one. And I'm probably not actually going to do this as tempting as it is. Would a Fundamental Forces likely get me the full MD set with the glass?

You should certainly be getting a plus from what I can tell if you are trading a FF. I certainly wouldn't trade a FF for MD set until I see where MD set settles though. Otherwise I think you risk getting the shaft on a much rarer bottle when MD set is likely to decrease in price as it settles rather than increase.

Yeah I definitely plan on drinking it though. I try to avoid trading beers that I haven't drank, especially when they're pretty hard to obtain like FF.

Idk if this helps or anything but I think Peche was the worst fermier I’ve had and I had batch 1 when it was about a year old. I’ve had all 3 batches of AdF and imo it just blows Peche away. I’ll be honest, after drinking framboise and abricot first, peche was a let down for me. I think the other thing I’ve noticed about Peach beers in general is that the fruit tends falls off pretty quick as compared to apricot or raspberry. I think a lot of people would agree that Abricot fermier is not only a great beer but one of the best apricots beers (among OG WA, fou, westly, etc) up there with b2 being my favorite. I wouldn’t necessarily say Peche du fermier is one of the best peach beers I’ve ever had as I can think of others I’d rather have. However as I said that was batch 1 and idk how b2 is going to be. But at the end of the day this only my opinion.
