FT: MD Batch 5 ISO: Rev Deep woods (Pre)

The Deep Wood’s beers I tried last year absolutely smoked the mess that MDb4 was

 

Well that sure is a unique hot take. There's always one.

The Deep Woods series last year was good. MDb4 was great--a massive improvement over the previous year that made me a believer again after I was questioning how that beer got so popular to begin with. Hearing MDb5 is better still.

 

Considering the tone of this thread it seemed appropriate. I still liked MDb4 but it was a underwhelming considering the hype behind it. I may have been a touch dramatic when I called it a mess. For what it’s wort I don’t think this trade is terribly far off especially if OP handles shipping or tosses is some TG hops to round it out.

Just wanted to pop back in here and revisit this thread with a good ole Told Ya So! This was the second place in Cleveland that's tapped a keg of VSOJ. Absolutely stellar beer, but worth trading what people are asking for it? Not when I could walk out of one place with a 32oz crowler and another with a 64oz growler with no fanfare whatsoever right here in the CLE. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
