I was in the area and swung by about 11:15, took a look at the line, said "no way" (I have pretty limited tolerance for lines) and went to Union Market. Got lucky, though-- had lunch and came back by at about 12:45 to find only a couple of people in line and OH still available. Was able to get one of the last 4-packs of Cheddar (just missed the Mosaic-- person in front of me got the last pack!). Like @hoppytobehere, I thought Cheddar was really good, but not necessarily line-waitingly better than, say, Aslin. That said, I'd totally love it if OH opened in DC.

Will add that the line moved pretty quickly, and overall I thought the release was well run. Both beers are great imo.

So Thursday at Meridian Pint is the "Official DC Launch of Triple Crossing". Hoping this means DC will now regularly be getting TC kegs and cans...?

Even Richmond doesn't get TC cans distro, they are brewery release only.

Maybe I'm wrong but isn't TC's Fulton location and production facility pretty big? Are they ever planning on producing more beer? Seems like they have the demand and room for it.

It is pretty big with what appears to be some room to grow. They only semi recently starting releasing something for take away weekly, when for quite some time they were canning every other week. So it seems they are slowing ramping up.

Anybody else interested in the Oyster Wars event at The Salt Line? Beers by Other Half, Trillium, Veil and Monkish(!).

I hate oysters, but the beer lineup is pretty lit. (To borrow a phrase from my kid)

Hey, ya'll. Headed down to D.C. next weekend. The wifey and I usually hit up the city every year or two and will be staying just north of the White House off of Thomas Circle. Scoped out everything nearby and know about the standbys like Churchkey, Brasserie Beck, Right Proper and The Sovereign, but is there anything new or any places that fly under the radar that are worth checking out? More interested in pubs than anything else. Thanks!

For what it’s worth it was awesome last year. The beers lasted a while and the lineup was great and it wasn’t oversold. Certainly will set you back a penny with the cash bar but it’s fun.

I bought my ticket. I missed it last year, so I'm psyched.

Does Virginia get Von Trapp now? Or has that been a thing for a while.

    Hello fellow NoVa/DC/MD Beer Lovers!
I wanted to reach out to the readers on this particular forum to see if you'd have any interest in updates from The Bruery Store in Washington D.C. -- While The Bruery, Bruery Terreux and Offshoot Beer Co. are California-based breweries, our shop located in Union Market directly serves the DC Metro area. I'd be more than happy to give updates and answer any questions I can if everyone is okay with that. Cheers!

Is there another other half can release planned?

We do not have any official plans to work with Other Half in the foreseeable future (hopefully you got your hands on some of those cans!), but we are currently working hard to host more Pop-Up events with Breweries that have limited to no distribution on the East Coast (D.C. specifically). Hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to get back on here and announce our next event. Cheers!

P.S. - For anyone who's not already aware, we still have bottles available from our events with The Lost Abbey and The Rare Barrel.

If anyone's interested, I noticed 5 cases of KBS at the Streets Market on 14th St. It's on one of the wine aisle endcaps; no price on it.

Has anyone heard about any drops of the most recent prairie releases. Particularly looking for consider yourself hugged, the pb coffee stout. Looks incredible but evidently not hitting in maryland.
