Agree with the general opinion on cappuccino stout. I love imperial stouts with coffee, but that one just really missed the mark.

Their Cappuccino stout is pretty awful IMO. Maximus is very middle of the road, far too malty.

I feel like there are wildly different batches made. The gueuze i had in NYC and one other time wasnt very good. But my thoughts dont match with reviews.

Could be, had a small pour of it at Rattle n Hum. Last year, or the year before, can't keep track of time anymore with all the traveling over the past 2 years...I do remember liking it though.

They weren't on my radar until this year and I haven't tried anything, but have tried every special 6 pack release this year and my reaction has always been the same - when I have the first one I think "hey, that's pretty good" and by the last I think I've had it and won't need to buy it again. Of the ones I've had I liked Sumpin' Wild and Shugga most and Imperial Red and Undercover the least.

I will not drink WTF again. Other than that, some beers are good but taste alike. Generally nothing knocks my socks off but it kind of grows on me. Overall, I would not put Lagunitas in the Top 10 breweries I have come across, maybe not even Top 20, but in terms of bang for your buck, they are #1.

I haven't had all the Lagunitas beers on the shelf yet, but have had most. I sure as hell find them pretty dependable. However, I don't love Brown Shugga, and I thought WTF was good, no great. Everything else though, especially the hoppy stuff, is aces. Haven't had Cappuccino stout yet... given that many of you are underwhelmed by it, I'll be interested to see what I think.

I'm pretty "Meh" on Lagunitas. But I think its just me. Everyone else seems to love them. I've tried many of their beers and they just don't do it for me. Case in point, Sumpin Sumpin...I don't get it. Bring the hate!!! ha

Probably in the minute minority but I have not had a beer from Lagunita's yet that I have enjoyed.

I really like Lagunitas and enjoy there brews. My previous comment about Sucks not being all that great was only because they set the bar so high for themselves

I wanted WTF to be better than it was (also a big Wilco fan), but I wouldn't call it a "bad" beer either.

I'm in the same minority. For me most of their beers have had a bitter finish that tastes unbalanced to me. Not to say they are bad beers just not my preference. A couple other well respected breweries fall into this category for me too. There's no lack of options today so it's easy to move on to something that is more enjoyable for each person's taste.

Undercover had a weird spicey note to it, almost perfumey when I tried it. It's the only one I didn't really care for from them. Cappucino stout was weird too, drank more like a thin coffee porter.

    Their hoppy beers rule.
