Somebody needs to get ahead of the game and start a "Brut IPAs...mostly the same???" thread

    Huh, please say it again!

By far, the BEST Kolsch I ever had as well.

That being said......@ChuckanutBrewery PLEASE find another bottle supplier, or better yet; can this bitch and call it a night. Driving over an hour to your brewery locations only to find out there are no bottles of Kolsch because of a "bottle shortage" is ALWAYS a huge disappointment! At least update the website PLEASE

Stopped by Chuckanut again today (08/22/2018). Still, NO BOTTLES of KOLSCH at either location!!! WTF!

I guess the multiple Instagram posts in regards to another collaboration is more important than locating a bottle supplier. No, many of us DON'T want the lone bottles of Pilsner or a growler fill! Especially after the continued advertisements of "available bottles" of Kolsch by employees on the phone and website. NO EXCUSES when it relates to supply chain issues.

I guess Oregon Kolsch producers Occidental and Heater Allen will continue to grab their share of the Pacific NW Kolsch connoisseurs  (Dead serious BTW).

Social media is often, mostly, not the consumers best source of info.

That said, Cnut Kolsch is my favorite regular beer of theirs, and, I would be happy if it were regularly available to me, packaged, or draft.

    Shrug.

If you see Super Uncool from Ruse/Upright just buy it and thank me later. Probably the best Hazy IPA I've had this year.

Sampling a glass of 503 in the 530 (collaboration by moonraker and great notion). The beer (a dipa), could literally be exhibit A for this thread. Just another pricey, hazy IPA with a lot of tropical fruit and juice, no bitterness at all, and far too much sweetness for my palate. It's decent, in fact it's good, but considering the price tag (6.50 for an 8 ounce glass at Beer O'clock), there's no way I can imagine ever ordering this again.

I just cracked open a can of Junior from Structures Brewing, courtesy of @beertunes .

On paper, I wouldn't necessarily be interested in a hazy session IPA. The words "Boring and flavorless" might appear in a thought balloon above my head.

In my glass, however, my reaction is more like, "Holy carp, this is terrific!"

Mrs. vurt likes it too, and she doesn't have any time for weak, flavorless IPAs.

If you want a hazy that has plenty of flavor and notable bitterness, get you some.

    Great job, @Structures.

The other Structures IPA? We shared one of those on Friday night. Very tasty beer. Certainly doesn't drink like it has an ABV north of 8%.

If you mean the Mammoth, I'm drinking that now.

Outside of the great floral nose on that beer (my serving was canned not draft), I'd agree the rest of it was good but not great. That price point certainly sucks, paid less for 16 oz cans.

Yeah, I meant the other Structures beer, I forgot the name. Which one had the leaking lid?

The leaking one actually had a gash in the side. And I think it was a can of Junior, alas.

The other beer is City of Solace.

The nose was definitely the best thing about the beer, with considerable sweet tropical fruit.

This might say more about me than the beer, but I likely wouldn't even have purchased a glass, except for the collaborative brewers (Great Notion and Moonraker). My reaction when I sampled it was very much a "really guys? this is the best you can come up for your collaboration?"

I don't know. If just felt to me as if they "mailed this one in," knowing that a lot folks would buy the beer, just because of the brewers involved (folks like me). Coupled with the exorbitant price tag, I didn't exactly have a warm fuzzy feeling while drinking my 8 ounce glass.

A relative of mine is starting school at Western Washington University this fall, so Mrs. vurt and I will have more opportunities to drink Structure's beers at the source, without needing to trade for them. Great days indeed!
