Curmudgeon's Better Half is at Total Wine Roseville. Limit 1 4-pack and it's incredible.

DDH DMT, Irregardless, DMT Double, Shook Pineapple, Cash Only and Sosus among the stuff I saw at Zipps this afternoon. Also Surdyks had Better Half.

Has anyone seen Dad Jokes still around anywhere in MPLS? TIA

I grabbed the DMT double and irregardless (the DDH was gone). The DMT double was really green, I wasn't a fan. Irregardless pretty fantastic, a little sweet and thick. But so smooth

Price check on Shook Pineapple. Not that I am interested in the beer but I saw it was marked $22 at Haskell's in Chanhassen. I thought that had to have been a mistake.

So it wasn't a mistake. Just on the high side. Adding lactose to an IPA drives up the price evidently.

As long as the beer flies off the shelves, the prices will keep going up I'm afraid.

I'm thinking an @ssload of pineapple might be factoring into the price.

Top Valu on Central still had a bunch of the Double Dare Mighty Things. $16.99/4-pack I think....?

    Really good.

Did not see the DDH version.

I think they made what might have been the worst beer I've ever drank. A chocolate ginger stout.

Tasted like someone grilled ginger and then rolled it in the ashes.

I wouldn't even give it to someone I disliked.

Wasn't sure which thread to post this in, but has anybody been to a Forager bottle release before? I'm in the twin cities for a wedding, thought I'd try to go to the release tomorrow but wanted to check how crazy the line is. I was planing to get there in the morning around nine, hoping to leave by around noon (have to get to the wedding in St Paul at 2). Anybody know if that's realistic?

If you get there a 9AM you'll be at the very back of whatever line forms (which for the Nillerzzzz release was very long). I believe it took me about 90 minutes to get through the line, if memory serves. Given the continuing upwards trajectory of Forager's hype curve, plus the more numerous crowlers being released, I'd bet the line will be even longer tomorrow.

My guess-math gets you out of there around 11:00 - 11:30 AM. 75 minutes or so back to St. Paul. You should be OK. Assuming you're not shut out of Nook because you're so far back in line!

Jumping off of this: Nillerzzz was well organized, overall, but bottlenecked at the checkout. We got there at 11am and were in the low 300s back in line. Took, I believe, about two and a half hours to get bottles. Folks that were up front (camped out overnight or arrived very early) were able to loop to the back and get another allotment. Like maximum12 said, I anticipate this release being much busier after Nillerzzz exploded nationally
