You mean you are not prepared to drop a cool $1k on 10 cases of Better Half?

Had a 20 month old Cumedgen that was delicious tonight with flavors of strawberry raspberry molasses dipped in chocolate.

Followed this with Better Half, what a not so good beer. This beer is way too maple sweet, maybe aged it gets better but glad I shared this with my better half as this is a tough one to finish due to sweetness. Wishing now I skipped it altogether and bought myself another 4pk of Barrel Runner....wish I could buy regular Cumudgen, Better Half is a disaster of a beer that is targeted to the hype of overly sweet beers as a bold beer like Barrel Runner is no longer the audience but should be because a beer like Better Half makes you weak and a beer like Barrel Runner puts hair on your chest.

This was a little sweeter than I would have liked but still a solid offering. Much preferred to the barrel aged IPAs that were part of the series this year.

I've been told by a couple places that they're hoping to know today if/when/how much they're getting. I would assume anywhere that is getting some should have it by the end of next week.

Picked up a 4pk the other day.

The maple and molasses are delicious flavors together. 12.7% ABV. Malty with huge flavors of dark fruit and vanilla.

    This beer was very enjoyable!

Are you saying that you've been waiting for a beer for 5 years and then didn't have a full serving? If you can't drink a 12oz bottle, but it still met your wild expectations, I'm thinking your expectations weren't really that high.

How's the sweetness level compared to CBS? I found CBS too be way too sweet for my tastes.

Yes it is quite sweet. I kind of wish I only grabbed a single. I have this habit of buying 4 packs of big sweet beers then begrudgingly drinking them at a very slow pace. Same happened with 120 minute.

At least this stuff is less than half the price of 120 minute.

You know there are some of us that will happily drink a 22oz/750 ml of high ABV to ourselves in a night right? I get that it might not be the healthiest/best/coolest but I will buy 10+% ABV bombers regularly for myself to drink over the course of a night. No different than a person drinking a bottle of wine in a night or a person drinking 5 oz of liquor in a night. Plus you could share. I am definitely not trying to share some special high gravity 12 oz beer with anyone, you can buy your own or convince me to like you enough to share a whole 12 oz with you, but dont expect me to grant you 4 of my 12 oz. 6 of my 22 though, you got a chance. fuckin rando

Strictly ABV wise drinking a bomber of this may not be any different than ~5 shots of liquor but this beers drinkability isn't limited by ABV to me it is it is limited by its thickness/sweetness/chewiness. Then again I'm part of the crowd that shops on a $/oz basis so I'm always going to end up with 12oz bottles when they are available. A 4-pack of this is only $2 more than the bomber at my store for over twice as much beer
