PA Turnpike options Philly to Pittsburgh

So, not quite your exit and not sure how close is close, but if you go to exit 236, Evergrain brewery is 5-6 miles from there. Solid to good beers and really good food. Family friendly, if that is important.

 

If you want an early stop, not far off exit 286 is Stoudt's Brewing

Of exit 268 (Lancaster / Lebanon) You've got The Fridge and Hunger and Thirst both in Lancaster.

If you exit at Harrisburg East there's Tattered Flag brewery and distillery in Middletown, Federal Taphouse and JB Lovedrafts in downtown Harrisburg.

If you get off at the Gettysburg exit (236), there's Evergrain as mentioned previously. Also Mellow Mink just opened about a week ago. There's also Federal Taphouse (harrisburg location is way better) and Al's of Hampden isn't too far either.

Market Cross is not nearly as good as it use to be. If you're stopping in Carlisle, I would recommend Cafe Bruges instead. Molly Pitcher Brewing is decent too.

As far as further West, I don't really know.

 

Pizza Boy is awesome. They have 40-50 of their own beers on tap as well as other beers. They also can some of their beers.
