Great afternoon drinking beer with @GreenBayBA at Third Space in Milwaukee. Now sitting on the porch acting like a darn fool. Thanks for sharing this one, Micah.

    Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout.

Hard pour from the can into shaker pint glass yields an opaque black body with a creamy tan head. Excellent staying power.

Scent is chocolate, coffee, roasted notes. Vanilla. Mocha.

Taste: Milk chocolate, mocha cappuccino flavors. Cream. Vanilla. For all it's dessert beer tendencies this is still highly balanced and in no way cloying or overly sweet. Caramel malt. Slightest kiss of hops in the finish.

Mouth is silky, creamy and voluptuous. Sensuous? No, beers are sensual. People are sensuous. (Do I still want to show her my cucumber?)

Drinkability is fantastic. Want another right away.

Probably my favorite non Imperial or high alcohol stout.

Checking out Bad Sons Brewing. Nothing to complain about in their flagship IPA.

Back from a brief visit down the street for a birthday party for an enegetic 90-year old woman with Rocket the Wonder Dog. I wasn't going to go (much to my wife's disappointment). Neither Rocket nor I enjoy crowds or most get togethers, but we've been known to break out of our social shells on occasion...So good, short visit, sounded good singing 'Happy Birthday', we both socialized and wagged our tails, now it's back to the real world...

My first brut IPA. In a nutshell, it's okay -- malty, dry, and bitter. But I fail to see how this differs much from other IPAs. Obviously, more examples need to be experienced...

Thanks @GreenBayBA. No reviews at all. This was excellent! Nice head retention/soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big red/black/green tea, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, toffee, roast, herbal, floral, grassy hop/tea earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops/tea in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop/tea astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 6.5%. This was absolutely delicious. Was not sure what to expect. Perfectly balanced mix of brewed teas and red ale malt complexity; with nice earthy hop presence. Nailed it. Spot on base style example as well. 4

Super fresh stuff. This was fantastic! Great fluffy head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy mangoes, melon, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Amazing aromas. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and slight fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops; some resins/rinds, and slight mango tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth and pretty refreshing, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.7%. Outstanding balance of juicy mangoes and Mosaic hops, with some dank/earthy presence; nice pale/wheat/oat malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Count me in for another few bombers for sure. 4.22

Man, the thread seems to be moving kind of slow for a Saturday. Gotta do my part, so beer #3. Taking a break from IPAs, for this dunkelweizen by Tucher. It's alright. Not getting as much wheat as I hoped. As it sits in front of me, this doesn't hold a candle to Weihenstephaner dunkel. Maybe it's old. Will try again in a month or two.

Sorry for the improper glassware. Don't have the proper one me right now.

    Cheers!

Is Ex Novo a respectable brewery? I just read that they're opening a facility just north Albuquerque, apparently the owner is originally from Soccoro, NM.
