Bottle Logic Brewing (Q3 2018)

Thought Angel's Envy was weird...for a bourbon, funky. Not funky, but for a bourbon...maybe its barrels would work for a wild.

 

Anyone get the codes? It has to have something to do with Magic the Gathering. That label and some of the blurb gives that bit away....

 

I typed in all the angels I could think of and find on gatherer, as well as other white spells that came to mind. It'll prob end up being something completely obsure, like the birth place of the artist who did the Resplendent Angel card.

 

Same. First thing I typed was any "Serra Angel" I can think of.

 

Throw us a DBZ reference, not this weird magic card game.

 

A double Stasis pick up is as good as it gets - FO and Resplendent Angel. Gonna be a good weekend. Hat tip to BL for the bonus release.

Kind of makes you nostagic for the time spent by the keyboard, pounding the Ffiver, sweating bullets over whether the Gods of Eventbrite were going to smile on you (rarely).

how often do the pickup windows overlap? I went down and picked up my FO already so I wont bother making the trip just for Resplendent Angel but I am curious if this is the norm?

 

Before this year, I believe the only overlap was if it was a double bottle release or a can release during a bottle pickup period. This year there have been a few instances where there were two separate releases within the same month, creating the overlap in pickups.

 

Is Let the Grind Begin still on tap? I still have to try that.

Got 1+1 for Resplendent, along with GF's WoL bottle. Not a lot, but, I'll take what I can get. How were low fills tasting?

 

Was on as of Sunday afternoon. You can always check Untappd for BLs current taplist. It’s updated almost immediately as things kick/come on.

 

Anyone opened a bottle of RS yet or have notes from the low fill bottle tastes? How aggressive is the port?

 

reaction state didnt have any port notes for me, if you are talking about resplendent angel it has some port notes but nothing crazy

 

finger slip, yep. Good to know, I like Port but I like Bourbon more.

 

I really dug RA (and RS for that matter). Not “port” or “porter” tasting per se. Just a really great booze barrel stout-tasing beer with dark fruit flavor. It tasted even better after the vanilla coating of an FO pour, which BTW has a lot more vanilla on tap about a month out. Wish I had grabbed 4 instead of 3 if the RA.

 

I was seriously digging RA yesterday. Delicious.

....I really wanted to grab some "Let the Grind", but damn, those are pretty expensive.

 

Dude we're getting our wish according to IG, just straight up barleywine coming 9/16 (or maybe more details?). They answered in the comments alluding to no adjuncts.
