Glad to see that, but damn those boys are going heavy on the adjuncts. Only one beer doesn't have them and it's one of the most expensive four packs.

    Selfish Predator - DIPA w/Citra & Emigma - ABV 8.3% $20/4-pack LIMIT

They're making what sells. Lots of people are into that crap right now.

Surely hoppy beers without adjuncts would still sell. Would just like to see a bit more of a balanced can menu.

Unfortunately, I'm heading out of the area before Thursday (when they're releasing DDH MTH...and 2 other adjunct IPAs). I decided to just go to Ocelot instead, have a few beers and grab a 4 pack of mi corazon.

Fortunately, my next stop on the east coast swing is NYC and OH is releasing 5 IPAsbon Saturday, none of which have any adjuncts.

Any one hearing any rumors on what the Anny VIP bottle will be?

Barrel aged Imp Stout w/ adjuncts - not a rumor, just a guess

Are they? Cause they have like 15-16 different beers available night now. They've either ramped up production or sales are slow.

They did update the website which now shows upcoming beers.

I would assume they're trying to build a killer line-up for the anniversary party. They did the same with the prior parties, and it was particularly awesome after the first one when they still had a taproom and everything was available on draft for a few weeks afterward.

Speaking of the anniversary party, anyone know if they're going to announce the beer list before next Saturday? With 100+ breweries--plus what I assume will be an absolute ton of people--in that not-huge parking lot, I've gotta assume it's going to be a shit-show, especially if everyone spends the first hour running around trying to find out what's available.

It wasn't hard to get a beer last year and not yet sold out this year. I doubt they release a beer list. They probably don't even know what the breweries are pouring. Pick your favorite breweries and hit them up first. With the numbers of breweries pouring I don't think there will be a shortage of great beer.

Looks like the vip numbers (per session) are the same as last year. They said they made 200 bottles for vip last year and this year they sold 200 vip per session. Guess it’s just a matter of GA tix. This year they have it listed as 600 but can’t find exact numbers on last year. It was run very well last year in terms of crowd size and minimal line waits though.

Is the party happening at their new location in downtown Herndon? I was just wondering if they've made any progress inside.

It's the same place as last year....behind the supposed new taproom. There's been no progress - I'd assume it's a safer bet to bet against it ever opening.
There are probably at least double the breweries pouring vs last year in the same amount of space, so that should be chaos. In addition to potential downpours and high winds from the hurricane.

Is there any possibility that the event will be rescheduled or canceled?

They posted something to the effect of "rain or shine unless the cops shut us down" on Facebook. I would prep for a wet day of drinking.

Buddy of mine picked up cans Saturday and said they didn't have descriptions of what was in each can hop wise or if it has adjuncts in it, is that true? So weird to do that, how are people supposed to know what they're buying. I'm sure they could ask, but why not just list it, especially if the person to ask is busy.

Yeah, they usually just have a print out with the beer name and price, possibly the style and ABV is listed but can't remember. You'd probably have to go to IG and look up the details but I agree, they should have all that info at the checkout. At a minimum they need to have all the adjuncts listed, including lactose (which is in all their gose), not overly concerned about the hops used but it's nice to know.

Possibly so, but if high winds are part of the forecast, they may have to shut it down. Hoping that's not the case.

What are everyone's thoughts on the Aslin Anniversary party?

I thought it was very well executed however I can see some room for improvement. Two entrance/exits along with more folks checking ids & tickets would have moved things along a bit smoother. Band was great - bring them back. All the folks serving beer were extremely personable aside from one snarky guy. The variety of breweries was great. More water bottles, more bathrooms, and more food options would be good. Aside from those minor things, the one major thing (for me) was beer was no longer served at 6:45 pm, not 7 pm.
