Picked up a four pack of Tipo Pils today at $20...on sale. Canned May 21st. 11.2 oz. cans too...

And that will be all I'll be purchasing of that...unless I find a fresher four pack...maybe...

Yeah...bought it fresh at $19.99 a 4 pack. Cringed, but very, very good. Not sure I'd spend that on a pils again, especially when Oxbow Luppolo is around on draft.

Thx to my buddy for tipping me off on this - $8 Dinkelacker Ofest 4 X .5 liter cans. Yum. Not sure of can date but no matter.

Ouch. I never could find a date on the cans when I've seen it, but I've only seen it broken out as singles. Do they date it on the four-pack holder?

BTW - I've seen the cans of Awa pale ale by Birrificio Almond 22 (also canned by B United) around town also. Haven't tried it yet.

Yup, right on the plastic holder there's a sticker. I'll try to remember to snag a picture of it later. So you're screwed if they break out the singles. That being said, it's probably the May 21st canning date, because I don't know how often they're doing this.

It's because the breweries themselves aren't dating the cans (Schlenkerla, Birrificio...etc.), they're getting stamped by B. United when they're canned on-site in CT.

Has anyone seen the Oxbow/Jester King collab on the shelves anywhere? Maybe it's staying in-house?

It's too easy to tempt me to Portland, but there's zero dollars in my wallet for that trip right now (the siren call of Duckfat/Eventide/Allagash/Industrial Ave would be too much).

I hear ya, I always say, "Oh I'll just pop up to Portland for a day or two." I can't do Portland in a day or two. It's too much of a tease.

There's also an Eventide in Fenway.

Yeah, I can spare the bottle price, but I know going up to Portland would involve way more than the $18. I'd go to Allagash, I'd go to lunch, I'd "just have one or two" somewhere else, I'd go to Oxbow and say, "Shucks, I might as well get (insert more purchases here)." $18 can turn into $118 pretty easily in Portland.

If I'm up there I have to go to Holy Donut. And High Roller Lobster is on the same street. Oh, and grab a slice at Slab. And I might as well swing through Industrial since there's so many breweries right there. And why not head over to Lonepine and Goodfire...they're in the same building. Oh, and then Oxbow too.

I have a little bit more time, I can grab some gelato before heading over to Bissell on my way out.

You know what, I'll grab a hotel room and stay an extra day.

Grabbed a can of this at Yankee Spirits. Was canned mid-August. Poured clear like a West Coast IPA, taste was "juicy" but unimpressive. +1 for their consistency issues.
