What beer are you drinking now? #2152

Back at the hotel getting ready for a concert at the Grand Ole Opry. The wife is drinking Boiling the Ocean by Southern Grist, and I’m partaking of Parish Brewing’s Ghost in the Machine. This is the first time I’ve tried this, and all I can say is I’m glad I grabbed a bottle on my way out of NOLA.

She had to have the “cute” 5oz glass.

I like all of those beers, but I’ve never had them all at the same time. Did you “cuvée” them?

 

Looks like they hit a few select stores on specific days around here still. Haven't checked it out, but it might be like a rare bottle release. I'm not entirely sure I recall correctly, but I think I saw one grocer actually taking pre-orders for them last year.

Wrong time to respond to this thread. I'm drinking Josephs Brau Oktoberfest. It isn't bad at all, but it's a bit thin and light, especially after my last beer, Zero Gravity Oktoberfest.

 

Certainly not what I expected. Bottle date 7 2 18 with a best by date of 7 2 23 so that's not an issue. Vinegary beer does nothing for me. Oh well, Cheers.

 

Beer in a concealed container. Cheers and a solid pumpkin beer.

 

What better than a bready German pils right before taco night? Got a 4 of this and Bitburger for $12 total. Both canned late June. Fucking bargain.

 

Broz Broz Day Day. An IPA brewed by Veil. It is very good especially given its low ABV.

A... really confusing beer. I honestly can't tell whether it's really successful or not. I think that there's a weird balance here that works well, and I wouldn't rather it be straight up cinnamon french toast (Southern Tier's Cinnamon Roll strong ale was good at that kind of thing, and it was a pretty boring drinking experience despite being technically impressive), but this is just... ????

An unexpected gift from a beer-liking coworker.



Now that certainly is an appreciated and very nice gift.

 

Something Brewery Haze & Juice by the pool. It's cloudy but warm so I figured I better enjoy the last few days before they shut it down for the season.

 

Milkshake IPAs are finding their way into the Midwest. Picked up this 22oz bottle, and while I thought about saving it for the weekend, it just sounded too good to pass up for tonight.



4 Hand's Smooth Operator.

 

Couldn't finish the Orval, I'll finish this but it's not very good.
