DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2018)

Anyone know whether we're getting Curmudgeon's Better Half in 4-packs around here? The NoVA shops that have received it only seem to have 750s. I was thrilled when Founders started making their barrel-aged series available in 4-packs and would be bummed to see us limited to the larger format.

 

I found it last night in Wegmans fairfax in 4 packs. I took the last one. I think plenty will show I’m both formats

 

Official off-premise Prairie distribution has ended in the District proper. You may have luck in Nova.

Limited quantity of Bakery cans are back in stock at the shop.

 

why are you rating Bruery beers on here?

 

Ha, 7 of his top 10 positive rating deviations (rDev+) are Bruery or Offshoot... shocker.

 

I'm so sure he's the only brewery employee to ever rate his employer's beer.

 

I'm pretty sure they have a rule against doing that, or at least they did.

 

In less self-promotional news, Churchkey had an Aslin Anny pre-party last night with Narrow Gauge, Equilibrium, and many others, so there probably plenty of good stuff left over. I'm not heading out to Herndon tomorrow so was glad to try some of the stuff in town for that.

Also, Gordon Biersch in Chinatown is closing soon, so they're having a party on Saturday night. No idea what that entails, but I used to go there a lot back in the day, so I'll probably watch the OSU/TCU game there.

There's also a "Botanicals and Brews" event at the Arboretum with a bunch of local breweries on Saturday. I would love to support the cause, but I really don't like beers with herbs in them.

 

Had Ocelot Mi Corazon on tap at Eat Bar recently and that beer is incredible.

 

Agreed. It was a clear winner alongside Aslin Predictable Patterns for me.

 

Did any of you guys, that are Bruery society members, order Bakery and pick it up yet?

Yes. Norm's received 4 packs also. I think all the TWs have four packs as well.

 

I plan on having my trustee snag a few cans for me tomorrow if they are still in stock. Really looking forward to trying that one.

Did anyone try the Neo-Politician yet?

 

I just saw Harry's Reserve post that they had a fairly sizable stack of Bakery cans.
