Good morning, Bay Area-ers. Hey, so my co-worker is headed out to Napa today, and I am trying to steer him in the right beer direction. His trip is mostly for wining and dining some clients, so he might not have time to do much driving around.

Are there any good breweries in the immediate area? Or at least any good bars where he can get Pliny on tap?

    TIA!

    For Russian River brews: https://russianriverbrewing.com/bay-area-distributors/

I'd suggest heading over to Fieldwork. They are a really good brewery, and being located inside the Oxbow market in the center of Napa, it will probably be convenient for your friend. They are open from 11 AM to 9 PM.

I second the Fieldwork Brewing recommendation. Stone brewing also opened their Napa location. As far as Pliny on tap, Downtown Joe's usually has some Pliny and other Russian River offerings on draft.

    Skip Stone. Fieldwork hands down.

Also in the Oxbow Public Market, there's a wine shop that sells beer there. They had plenty of Pliny bottles when I stopped by (I saw some guys at a table with like 10 empty Pliny bottles to tip me off). I believe the shop says they get Pliny pretty regularly. If the bottle shop doesn't have any, then walking over to Fieldwork isn't a bad consolation prize.

If the Fieldwork station has Loser's Club, then I'd consider Pliny consolation. IMHO.

But the point is you can have both! Also Hog Island Oyster Company is pretty great.

Cadet wine bar is pretty rad...(has had rare barrel rarities and cantillon on occasion). Small but good draft list. Cool spot. New brewery called Trade is good too. Fieldwork is great. Don’t bother with stone unless you like 15 types of iPas and nothing else. Napa-palisades saloon has a decent list and good food.
