I work right there too. Surprisingly, some of the vendors in Urbanspace Vanderbilt have decent can/tap options. I know Mayhem Sandwiches has some sort of relationship with KCBC and is always carrying cans / has them on tap. It's different than your typical beer bar, but nice to grab a quick, decent beer after work.

I am drinking Hop Showers at As Is for the first time in awhile and I just want to chime in and agree with whoever was slathering all over it.

Agree 100% - this Hop Showers batch is great. Also enjoying the new MMM...Fruit Cherry.

City Beer is ...a B- for me...at best. Decent selection, but, overpriced with $10-$11 drafts. Also, they close at 9pm and 10pm on weekends. Maybe it's more of a to-go place...

I like how the lactose gives it a more body, but I wish the base beer was a bit more tart. It drank great yesterday since it was humid AF.

If you are willing to go a little farther the other direction, I like The Jeffrey as an out of the way spot with good beer and food.

I highly recommend Haymaker before jumping on the train at Penn. They have to go cans (Other Half/Grimm/KCBC) and they give you a perfectly sized paper bag to carry it.

Milk and Hops is also worth checking out if you're going up to that area. Their ramen is pretty good.

while they usually have a nice selection of cans to go, I would say OH and Grimm are not very frequent (I'd be surprised if they even get Grimm anymore now that the brewery is open)... more likely to find Interboro, KCBC, Singlecut, Barrier, Three's, etc...

yeah i haven't been in a while, but I thought OH were more from a while ago (when a select few stores got very limited can distro) and to your point, that Grimm would have prob gone the same way

They do a good job of
I stopped by on the way home last night and I think the list above from their site is out of date. I saw a last updated date of 04.27.2018.

They do keep their beermenus page updated though and specifically list the cans that are to go.

    https://www.beermenus.com/places/27162-haymaker-bar-kitchen

Oddly enough there were more to go beers on the menu last night then are listed on the beermenus page...including the Etherous by Proclamation that I got so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Any parking suggestions when grabbing cans late night? I usually park on Lorraine Saturday mornings but thinking of parking at McDs and running into grab cans real quick. Any advice would be appreciated.
