Let you know tomorrow or Friday. Got a four pack but just got home so I fridged it.

As for the Milkshake, as of 8:00 they still had 140 cases or so. The line was steady at 20 people or so at the bar, but It will last into tomorrow IMO.

It did. 50 cases or so of this one left over. I really liked this one the first time around, hope this one is as good.

Seems like #linelife is kinda dead. This time at least, judging by how it was in there around 8:30 and the can updates, they did more of a steady line throughout the night than one big line up front and then a trickle the rest of the night. I'm liking this new normal quite a lot.

Also extra props for having The Critic on the TV, but sadly no volume or subtitles.

Me too, this was one of the sleeper shakes, I sure hope it lives up to the hype in my own head.

So I was talking about this last night to my wife on the way back from TH. The line hype has definitely died down. So why? I think it starts in that they are making more shakes. It seems like they are doing one every other week. More supply. Couple that with the pretty large allotments and the steady stream of other good beers each week and overall supply is up. Add in prices being sky high and there you go. So the new norm seems to be that the shakes last longer into the night (and even the next day) and thus people realize there is no need to stand in an hour long line anymore or play the chair game.

I mean, this is really what we all wanted, right? Has it finally come to fruition where the hype line is all but dead?

One more question. Has anyone recently had a shake that has blown you away? For me, only recently has been the single extra vanilla. All the rest have been good to very good, but no others have blown me away and I've had most of them lately.

Completely agree with you on the extra vanilla but I think for me it was also the fact that I wasn't trying to pick something else out of it. It is just a solid, delicious neipa whereas others if there was some fruit or something it was faint and I was really hunting for it imo. Also found that like stouts they really opened up as they warmed but then I didn't really want to drink them warmer...

Other than Extra Vanilla, no shake as blown me away recently. The Raspberry Green Tea came very close though. I was a huge fan of that one.

Still no word on how Punge is tasting? I'm heading over at Noon, want to know if I should gamble on a 4pk.

Definitely we’re entering a post #linelyfe world. Same thing happening at OH. Mixed emotions cos now need to expend energy finding other stuff to bitch about

A good friend told me it was as good if not better than what he remembers the OG canned Punge to be. He also said it had a mouthfeel/creaminess better than any shake he's had from them in quite awhile. Said it was an incredible beer. Take that for what it's worth.. Based on his review, I'm hoping there's cans left after work today so I can try it.

Not really, no, but I've only been on 'shakes for a short while because of wanting to avoid livin' the #linelyfe.

I've been blown away by some of the other "culinary IPAs" they've come up with. Lush Life was phenomenal, as was Are We OK?. I also thought Today Will Be a Good Day was a great beer, perfect use for that lightly roasted coffee they have.

But more than anything, plain old Alien Church has been absolutely killer recently. Last 4-pack I bought, the first sip every time elicited a "Wow, that's good" from me.

The new batch of Punge is incredible. Don’t miss out. I maxed out yesterday and am considering buying more if it’s still around after work.

Yeah, I thought that was was really good too, and I'll be honest the Ramos Gin Fizz aged nicely becoming way more creamy and milkshake like with some age. The Banana Foster and Cherry Cheesecake as of now I'm saying are good, not great. Still have a bunch more to drink.

Overall, I didn't like the Ramos Gin Fizz but will agree it did get better with age. I drank my two cans a month a part.

I think their luxury prices are causing the beers to last longer, especially when some of them are still hit or miss. Their cans are easily the most expensive brewery cans by $4-$7 per four pack—that's about one beer or 25% depending on how you look at it.

Plush Life was astronomically priced IIRC, and the can I had on Saturday was good, but nowhere near worth that premium. IMO, if I am spending $25 on a four pack, I need to know it's the best of the best. That mindset justifies buying one or two but maybe not any more than that. Hence the end of line lyfe.

The prices make it less attractive because there is so much more competition, and stores now carry other brands that at least approach the quality of Tired Hands' haze.

Alien Church comes out every other week and is priced comparably to beer you'd get at Tree House, and you don't have to drive out to East Bumblefuck to get it. You don't have to go buy that $27 4-pack and you can still get amazing beer at a pretty reasonable price.

Agreed, time after time I keep saying that beer is consistently the best beer they make sans the mind blowing iterations of the shakes.

Honestly? I think I've said this before, I can live off of Alien Church and Ourison the rest of my days and be happy.

Back to pricing. Something is going to give, just as we said the # lynelife could not sustain itself over the long term, I think these astronomical prices can't either.

The Foreign Objects double IPA I had this week not only approached tired hands haze but had surpassed it. And I just picked it up casually as I walked out during my regular beer shopping.

Isn't Foreign Objects stuff just as if not more expensive than Tired Hands cans anyway?

Uh I mean Julius is $3 cheaper per 4pk so I wouldn't say that its priced all that comparable, I also very much prefer Julius to Alien Church even tho I think AC is very good. Treehouse seems to be slightly cheaper than everyone else around but I agree that they are in the middle of god damn nowhere so you probably spend more on gas getting there.
